Surprisingly easy upgrade to home security!
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I was really impressed and wanted to share my experience. This smart lock with a camera honestly exceeded my expectations. Yes, it’s a bit pricier than some other options on Amazon, but in my opinion, it’s worth every penny for the convenience and security it brings.Installation:The setup process was shockingly easy. I’ve installed two other smart locks before (different brands) and always ended up sweating and swearing over the door fitment. With those, you have to drill bigger holes, and constantly worry about getting the alignment perfect. This lock, on the other hand, uses screws instead of a drill hole, which made a HUGE difference. They even include a sticker for easier alignment on the door—which I skipped to avoid leaving residue, but it might be handy for some. Even without using the sticker, it still looks super sleek on my door.Features:The biggest plus for me is the 3-in-1 integration. You get a fingerprint door lock, a video doorbell, and a 2K camera all in one device. Setup was a breeze! There’s a voice guide that walks you through everything, and their app (which I downloaded for iPhone) is straightforward to use. I had the whole thing up and running in less than half an hour, and I’m not exactly a tech wizard. The camera quality pleasantly surprised me—it’s very clear, both in the daytime and at night, thanks to the infrared lights. The motion detection is sensitive but not overly annoying and sends me a clip each time someone approaches. I really like that you can unlock the door in SIX different ways: app, fingerprint, passcode, Alexa and Google voice, or even an actual key, just in case. The fingerprint sensor is super snappy and has worked every time for both me and my spouse. One underrated feature is the two-way audio. I can answer the door using my phone even if I’m upstairs or not home, which is really handy when I get packages or if someone’s selling something and I don’t want to physically go to the door.Just a heads up:It only connects to 2.4Ghz WiFi, so make sure your network supports it. Also, be sure your door measurements fit (it says it’s for most US & Canadian doors but always double-check).Overall:If you’re on the fence, I’d say go for it. It’s been a major upgrade for my home security and peace of mind—and looks way better and less clunky than some of the other options I’ve tried. Happy to answer any questions for other potential buyers!

So far…. SO GREAT!!
So far… so GREAT!!I ordered this before leaving on a trip and am expecting a new house/pet Sitter who’ll be staying for a week, I wanted a way of confirming our fur babies get let out at regular intervals, as I’ve been unsuccessful at teaching them how to talk and tell me how their sitter has been treating them while I am away, lol.1) 1st thing out of the box, everything packaged well2) each screw is in separate baggie with alphabetical letter which corresponds with step by step in instructions3) Instructions are easy to understand4) I began by plugging in the battery and left it charging separately, overnight5) While the Battery was charging, I plugged the front of lock assembly into power via usb-C cord, then connected the wiring harness into back of lock assembly so I could go thru each of the steps of setting it up and figuring it out BEFORE installing it on the actual door, this way I could accomplish 2 things;a) test it out to make sure it works BEFORE going through the hassle of installing it, only to discover it’s not working. IT DID WORK, & IT WAS FUNCTIONING PERFECTLY!b) connect to wifi and setup passcodes and fingerprints then practice using the lock and all of its features from the comfort of my recliner versus installing it on the door, and then standing with the door wide open in the Arizona heat while I setup and practiced using the lock.It just didn’t seem wise to me to take the chance of installing it, closing the door, then testing it for the 1st time while crossing my fingers hoping it’s not a defective unit, leaving me stuck with a door that’s closed and the lock is now in the locked position.6) the lock is powered by the rechargeable battery which is to be installed in the lock assembly on the side which is inside your house. I was concerned since the battery is in the inside, what do I do if I’m outside and the battery dies? The designers thought of that and have provided a usb-c outlet under the doorbell button on the assembly on the outside of the house, which is also where the cut key access is so you technically have 2 options to get the lock unlocked if the battery on the inside dies. SO FAR IT SEEMS LIKE A WELL THOUGHT OUT AND GREAT DESIGN!I was looking for a smart lock with a digital keypad, fingerprint sensor, and video surveillance options, this lock fills the bill in each of those categories.I was concerned that it is not an name brand, and it’s built overseas, so far it seems sturdy, but I’ll update my review later as I run it through it’s paces.I’m curious how it will hold up in Arizona heat, it’s installed on a southern facing door. I’ll update my review after it sees itself thru the upcoming summer. It comes with a real cut metal key, so if it actually dies, you’ve still got a way in.I’m hoping I don’t become lazy and quit carrying my house keys because it’s digital and doesn’t require keys, because I know the day I don’t bring them, that will be the day the battery runs out of juice!I don’t see any way of setting up a notification to text my phone when the battery charge is low but maybe that feature is in there, TBD.So far the only notification that do I get without a subscription, is when the doorbell is pressed, then my phone chimes repeatedly. In order to store your video logs you must pay a subscription, $69.90 / year.In addition to that subscription,In order to receive sms / text notification every time there’s activity, you must pay a subscription, $39.90 / year. Not to thrilled about either of those 2 subscriptions being MANDATORY in order to have full use of all the features in the specs listed on the the Amazon website. It is noted in the specs that it’s only able to connect to 2.4g wifi which I found to be accurate. So far that’s all I know, I will update when I compile more experiences, good or bad to share.
