    Consistently Re-Buying
Are these like the normal plastic sponges? I don’tknow because I’ve used these for so long and haven’t switched back. But I think they are as close as you can get for a biodegradable version. Always looking for ways to decrease our carbon footprint and this is an easy way to do it. It’s a bit weird to get a good feeling buying or disposing of sponges, but knowing these won’t harm the environment gives that nice feeling.

    repurchasing over and over!
these sponges are great, ive repurchased multiple times and i find they dont break down as quick as other cheaper brands ive tried. would recommend!

Love but might need to stop buying
I may have to cancel my subscription to these sponges, used then for years, but the last batch came wrapped in double plastic and the size is significantly smaller. I also question if it’s the same material because the rough side is a lighter shade. I buy these for eco purposes, so having them come in plastic defeats my purpose. I’ll wait to see the next order, but I’m very disappointed if this is the new normal.

    Works well and safe
I prefer to keep all organic and safe materials within my house when I can. With that being said I have clear glass dishes and stainless steel pots and pans. I know how to cook with my stainless steel properly so there’s not much that sticks to it. With that being said, I would consider these medium duty and under. If you’re the kind of person that burns things to your pots and pans, you might need something more abrasive. Which at that point most things aren’t supposed to be cleaned with that abrasive of a material. So you should probably work on not creating that problem. Just my opinion and my two cents.

I used to be a loyal fan.
I used to be a loyal fan of this scrubby sponge and ordered it regularly without hesitation. Unfortunately, my most recent order was deeply disappointing. The sponges are now significantly thinner than they used to be—what was once a durable, 1” thick sponge has been reduced to 1/2” thick even when fully saturated. This change represents a noticeable decline in quality and feels like a bait-and-switch tactic. It’s frustrating when a company earns trust with a solid product, only to cut corners later and compromise that very trust. I’m tired of companies making these kinds of changes without transparency. Sadly, I’ll be looking for alternatives going forward.

These perform every bit as good as the big name plastic sponges, but without any plastic!
I bought these after reading that the big name sponges (Scotchbright, etc.) are made of plastic. I quickly envisioned bits of plastic going down the drain, some of them microplastics which are not filtered by sewage systems and would then enter the ocean, adding to the pollution. I expected these sponges to perform worse, but it was a tradeoff I was 100% happy to make. And to my great surprise, I’m still on sponge #1, and its performing every bit as well as the ones I used to buy. I run it through the dishwasher every time we wash dishes, and it has come out in perfect shape. I use the scrubbing side for tough cleaning, and its every bit as good as the plastic ones. And, doing the math, these sponges are cheaper than the plastic ones from the big names. So, what’s not to like? Ecologically-friendly, great performance, and cheaper… I’m a convert.(Oh, and these are compostable when they finally do fall apart; my county runs an industrial scale composting operation that will get temperatures high enough to break down this sponge. So there’s no waste, either.)

Shrinkflation has occurred on this product.
These are not the same as what I previously received when I have ordered in the past. They are smaller and thinner. Don’t fit the hand well. I would give four stars because they are still okay, but when I order the same thing..I expect the same thing.

Great sponges. I have purchased a few different types of these sponges on Amazon and so far have found these to be the most durable and long lasting thus far. These work wonderfully and will most likely be the ones I buy specifically from now on.

Last about as long as scorch brite scrub sponges but nicer with the natural fiber. I will get them again when I run out of this mega pack!

  11. Amaryllis

This stuff is much better and last longer than average one you buy in the store.

  12. J

On the package, it says 100% plant base on the sponge part and 50% plant base on the scrub side. And it doesn’t mention what is the other 50% ingredients on the scrub side. And not mentioned biodegradable though it says on the Amazon page. The product itself seems fine and nothing is wrong. But suspicious about material made….. (sorry no picture of the package, my husband send them to recycling already!)
