Great basket
This basket has served me well and is holding up, too. I love that one side lets you rest it against your hips as I have to traverse 3 flights of stairs to get to the laundry room, and that makes it easier to do.

Sometimes you just don’t get to folding laundry as fast as you plan to. This makes it easy to keep the laundry mess of the bed, and also makes it easy to move around if needed.

None of them last forever, but a good laundry basket is easy to handle, is big enough for a load of laundry, and can be carried out to the clothesline full of wet clothes without damage to the clothes or the person carrying. This is in my experience the best option: it is more costly than the others up front, but sturdier and especially so in the handles, which are the weak point of any basket. It curves on one side to fit against the hip when carrying; the curve loses you a little in capacity, but gains you a lot in ease of carrying. Even a very full load from a front-loading washer can be piled up in the basket for carrying, but is a bit of a strain on both the basket and the person carrying it. I’ve had the basket for a couple of months before writing the review, and I’ve had recent experience with a less expensive brand (the handles of which broke in a matter of months) and before that, another Rubbermaid, which lasted much longer.An addition: My XL Hiphugger does not say how many litres, but gives the dimensions 53.7 x 50.6 x 28.4 cm (or 21.2 x 19.9 x 11.2 inches) on a sticker on the bottom. I noted when I bought it (Oct. 5, 2020), and as of March 28, 2021, it is in perfect condition though it has been carried with some very full heavy loads from the big front-loader washer out to the clothesline.
