A great set of chopping knives without taking up much space in the kitchen
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I purchased these as a gift for my son who is setting up his first apartment after leaving the nest. He moved into a nice apartment with his best mate without a stick of furniture and two mugs for coffee. This was a great set of knives as it doesn’t take up as much space in his tiny kitchen as a other knife sets in a block. He thought the black was “Cool, mom.” I wanted this set because it also had the main chopping and paring knives that he would need for his modest cooking skills, and a great set of scissors because everyone needs at least one great set of scissors.

Good knives, not so good base
These knives look like they’re really good quality however, the base is extremely tall. That is why I had to return it. It was too high for the space I had between my counter and the top cabinets. Also, I found the base to look a bit cheap as it looks plasticy, but the knives themselves seem nice and sharp.
