Very Soft Blanket / Throw that fits a King Size bed
Bought this blanket to use when camping out on the sofa looking at movies and ended up using full time on my king-size bed instead. It is super plush and warm to say it is so light weight and is listed as a King size throw. It didn’t shed after several washings and still has the same intensity of color as when bought. If you are looking for a light weight year round comfortable throw / blanket that fits nicely on your bed and as a throw this one is well worth it. Definitely would buy again.

WASH before using for best results
You HAVE to wash (include a bit of liquid fabric softener in the rinse) and tumble dry on low before using this blanket. Out of the package, all those lovely little fibers are compressed and “sticky”. Once laundered, it’s like, “Ahhhhh….” THIS is the feeling I remember!*Velux* has been around for many years. I had one when I was a child. Fast forward to now, when I was seeking comfort and nostalgia to help myself decompress.

Deeply Disappointed ,This Is Not the Vellux I’ve Loved for 30 Years
I’m so disappointed in this product.The Vellux blanket has been my security blanket since childhood, no one could pry it from me. Over the last 30 years, I’ve purchased at least 15 of these. I’ve kept them in my home, taken them on trips, and sadly lost a few over time. But I always replaced them because I trusted the brand and knew exactly what comfort felt like.Unfortunately, the version being sold today is nothing like the original. It’s rough, scratchy, and feels more like a dish scrubber than a blanket. I barely opened the package just unzipped the top and I knew instantly it was going back. The texture was so jarring, I didn’t even want to touch it.What’s most upsetting is how far the quality has fallen and that the company doesn’t seem to care. I’ve seen the wave of negative reviews from longtime loyal customers like me. I should’ve listened, but I gave the benefit of the doubt. I regret that now.Why claim this blanket is “soft and cozy” when it’s clearly not? It’s misleading and disappointing. I also noticed tiny circular rips in multiple spots, like the fabric was already breaking down before I’d even used it. That was the final straw and why I’m writing this review.Fortunately, I still have one of the older Vellux blankets, and it’s a reminder of what quality used to be.

I love this blanket! Have had 2 previously and will keep buying them as long as they make them. I find they tend to last about 10-12 years before they start to come apart where you pull on it to cover up. Lightweight, warm in winter and I don’t overheat in the summer. Plenty of “drape” for my queen size bed. Washed and dried when first received and didn’t pill or have lint. Washes well and dries quickly on very low setting or I hang mine to dry. Doesn’t stretch out of shape.
