5×7 perfect. Very nice quality!
I was so unsure what size to buy. I read all the articles on how to place a rug in a room, how to “anchor” furniture around the rug, and how a little bit too big is better than a little bit too small. I decided to get the Esme blue in 5×7 for one room and the Esme tan/ivory in 8×10 for another room.The blue arrived first — perfect size! My coffee table is centered on it and one substantial chair anchors it. There is enough room around the couches so it “breathes.”The tan/ivory arrived second — I thought at first glance how huge it was. When I brought it into the room and laid the tube down (it comes wrapped in a roll), I knew it was absolutely too big for my room, and a not quite the right shape. I put painters tape down to mimic the size and I knew had to return it. I then measured for the next size down (6×9) and it still would not be right. I really, really wish this came in a 6×8 size (which would be absolutely perfect!), but alas, it does not. I took the blue 5×7 rug out of the other room to try it for size and it looks just fine! Yes, it will be the dreaded “floating island” that decor articles say to avoid, but honestly, it looks nice — and if it looks good, then to heck with what “they” say.Quality? Yes, it’s good. I know I did not buy heirloom rugs. The design is printed on, and it’s not super thick, but I did not want a super thick rug for padding comfort; I want a rug for aesthetics. It’s soft, feels good under foot, and it has a non-skid backing already attached. As previously mentioned, it arrived rolled as a tube, but it took very little time for it to settle down flat. The colors in both rugs are nice. The blue has a darker blue around the perimeter and a softer blue in the middle. The ivory background pulls a very light gray as well. Love it! The tan/ivory rug has a little less of a contrast between the outer and center designs. The tan/ivory color isn’t really either tan or ivory and is hard to describe. It’s certainly pretty and neutral, but can show up differently depending on the room it is in. For example, in an off-white room, you see the browner undertones. In a room where there is burgundy, it pulls that redness. IMHO, this is a good thing, as it will pull the right color for the room it is in.While the bigger size did not work for me, I am very happy with the smaller size, and look forward to getting another! Use this in my entryway and it’s cute. It has a little bit of a cushion and it’s as described. I haven’t washed it yet but it’s held up well for the last 3 months. I do vacuum it regularly. The size is perfect for what I need, and it laid flat quickly without any wrinkles. Good purchase, recommend

Love this carpet, it’s light weight but very colourful. The Shipment took sometime but other than that it was a good buy.not very fluffy which makes it easy to clean for a house with kids.

Wish this was better
Have under this rug in our primary bedroom for a little over two months now. Although it’s beautiful and I love how thin it is, I wish it were better quality. The seams along the edges are starting to come undone. On another note, I’ve had a hard time getting any stains out of it and since it has no shag you can see everything. Overall works well for the most part and serves its purpose, I would just opt for something higher quality next time.
