The best money you’ll spend!
We have one of those silly bath plug mechanisms that lift up and down that are installed through the bath tub plumbing in a wall. After the bathtub stopped draining and with failed attempts at plunging and unclogging we guessed that the mechanism had broken. Sure enough, it had separated and lodged itself in the bathtub wall and it was impossible to reach. Before calling a plumber I thought I would order one of these to see if we could retrieve it ourselves. When I say it got it on the first go, I am not exaggerating. It hooked onto the mechanism with its teeny claw and I was able to retrieve it right out of the pipe! The functionality of this thing is beyond what I could’ve imagined. We are keeping it in case we loose anything down a drain, which is bound to happen. It also comes with a hair claw, which you can feed deep into the shower pipe to clear it. Given that I have very long dark hair, this extra gadget will definitely come in handy in future!

Works as a drain retriever
I’ve always had one of these around for retrieving a dropped bolt in an engine compartment, but I haven’t been able to find one locally. After losing a small spring from my paint sprayer down the bathroom sink drain, I was hoping not to have to take the whole drain apart.I saw this sold as a drain pipe cleaner, and thought, “what the heck, I need one around anyway.” When I opened it, I was surprised at the heavy duty feel, and even wondered if it would fit down the drain. It did, and in a couple of minutes I pulled out that lost spring.Works great, and I expect it to basically last forever.

“Could” be a great tool, BUT needs a change
Good tool, but as others said, it has a flaw. First let me say that most of these retrievers with a black shaft are identical, regardless of brand. And, they are longer and better than the cheaper, silver versions. This one is fairly well made for the price, but it’s hard to use. Now, to be clear, I did not buy this as a drain cleaner. I needed a retriever for confined spaces. Now the issue – The spring. The coil spring on this is way too strong. Even if you have a strong grip as I do, pushing this plunger is absurdly hard. Someone with a weaker grip will not be able to operate it. My wife can’t push it at all. They use these overly strong springs to allow it to grip and hold heavy weights, to make the specs look better. But, I doubt you will need the ability to lift bricks or heavy items while cleaning drains or retrieving dropped bolts etc. This simply needs a weaker spring to be a five-star tool, but until then, I don’t recommend.

Good product
I think they make them for a reason. I had my bathtub drain clogged for a long time and I had used liquid that was supposedly the best one they sell in the store and it just wouldn’t unclog, until I bought these Drain Cleaner Sticks and was able to unclog it. A+ 👌🏼

Did not fit down either of my sinks.
I think this product would have worked really well, but I could not fit it down my kitchen or utility sink. The product felt sturdy and reliable, but I returned it because it wasn’t functional for me. In the photo I show that my sink has these plastic separators inside it though, which I think is the reason for it not fitting

Seriously, if your drains are slow from hair, GET THIS. You just shove it down, pull it out, and all the gunk comes with it. So satisfying, kinda gross, but SO effective!No chemicals needed, super easy to use, and it actually works for hair clogs. Definitely recommend it!
