Bio Enzyme Laundry Detergents

Introducing Machine Dish

What is Dirty Labs?

Dirty Labs is an AAPI-owned cleaning innovations lab on a mission to create the future of cleaning by using innovations in green chemistry.

How is Dirty Labs different from other green detergents?

Many cleaners still use ingredients with carcinogens, irritants, toxins, or endocrine disruptors. Our promise is to deliver conventional levels of cleaning or better with the safest ingredients list.

Where are Dirty Labs products made?

All of our products are developed and manufactured in the United States. Our ingredients are sourced from the US, Europe, South America, Southeast Asia.

What are enzymes? How does Phytolase work?

Enzymes are naturally occurring proteins. Phytolase consists of a proprietary blend of advanced bioenzymes that comprise the cleaning engine behind our cleaners.

How sustainable are your products?

We take a comprehensive approach to sustainability. Our ingredients, sourcing, manufacturing, and hyper-concentrated products reduce our carbon footprint.

How do I use the measuring beaker?

Simply follow the measuring directions on the bottle and place the beaker in the dispenser tray or the washer drum. The beaker will come out clean with your wash!

Are Dirty Labs products safe for sensitive skin?

All Dirty Labs products are designed for sensitive skin and formulate without EU listed fragrance allergens, sulfates, chlorine-based bleaches, synthetic preservatives, and other known irritants.

Are Dirty Labs products baby-safe?

All our products are consciously formulated to be safe for your entire family, including infants and babies who may have more sensitive skin.

Why do I need so little to get my wash done?

Our formula is 11x concentrated, meaning that we’ve removed any excess water and fillers from our formulas.

Does Dirty Labs work in cold water? HE (High Efficiency) compatible?

Our Bio Laundry Detergents are designed and optimized for washing in cold water and are designed for HE washers and traditional washers.

Does your product work with hard water?

Yes, our detergents are suitable for washing with hard water, as well as ground water or well water.

Is Dirty Labs suitable for septic tanks and grey water systems?

All of our products are septic safe. Our detergent is near neutral pH, and much less alkaline than conventional detergents, so on its own it is safe for grey water systems.

Weapon that works against the battle of cat pee.
Wow. One of my cats takes issue sometimes when we leave town or stay out all day or the wind blows southeast or the litter box is in need of scooping (no longer, check my review of the M2) and expresses herself by peeing on the bed, clothes, blankets, whatever she can get her tushy on. Trying to stay on top of that, but sometimes that wind blows and we fine urine soaked things. My favorite is finding it by laying down for bed when over exhausted and smelling the culprit on a decorative pillow or my blankets. We’ve been using this dirty labs detergent and the scented oil for wool dryer balls with good success. I wash the olfending (sic) items twice, once with the detergent with cleaning vinegar and a 2nd time with the detergent and soda ash. Drying on low with the oiled wo balls. I ran out of the oil and knew I needed something, but forgot it was oil and ordered new pillows (somethings you just have to replace) and was like I need dirty labs. So I put the big bottle in my cart and then saw in the add ones the “bundles with this item” and there was the magic powder. So I added the bundle to my cart, dropped the single bottle and received both the next day.I then discovered that I needed oil not detergent, but I was happy that the bottle of detergent (the smaller one, didn’t notice that) at least came with the little rubber dosing cap that my wife threw out by mistake.Started the laundry that needed the urine removed, discovered I was out of cleaning vinegar and decided to wing it.1. I’ve been using way too much detergent.2. The powder comes with a adorable wooden measuring spoon.3. 2 washes with the correct detergent and 2 scoops of this wonderful powder got rid of this cat’s pee smell on everything, including a couple items that we’d written off but decided to try vs tossing.Does it need to be washed a 2nd time? I am not breaking my lucky formula.Needless to say. Very happy with Dirty Labs.

Contnual cost increases caused customer to discontinue use
Great product for removing incontinence odors from from clothing and bedding. However, the cost kept increasing exponentially. I did not feel that I could continue to bear the cost increases.

Got rid of swim trunk funk and cat urine
I had low expectations when I dumped this in with a bath rug my cat took objection to. I am shocked to say that at it’s first test, this took care of any trace of smell. I had even thrown in a set of swim trunks my son left in a hidden corner for a week that were so fragrant I figured I would end up tossing them in the bin. They also have zero trace of foul odor. I am eager to see how this does with stains, but it is my new Hail Mary laundry product.

    Good but won’t buy again…
Well I feel this stuff works quite well, and I do expect dust as it is powder, what is didnt like is 1)it leaves some super soapy slick feelon the hands that’s hard to wash off, to a point i give up; and 2) I have some sensitivity to airborne things such as extra dusty cat litter and extra dusty powders with certain ingredients in them. Apparently something in this particular brand is irritating to my airways and nose. It may work for others who are less sensitive to things. To be fair, I do also get eczema flares though, so take of this what you will. Im also unsure if the difference of this and not using any boosters or compared to other boosters is even too noticeable. Again, it does seem to work well enough, but I wouldn’t buy again. Their laundry detergent is also good enough, however quantity of the bottle does not last long enough. I wish more companies stateside would for like some other countries do, like Japan for one, and sell refill bags for their smaller bottled items. I didnt actually check if they do though so maybe they do and I missed it before when I originally had bought it.

    Worth every penny
OMG. This is the best odor fighting booster on the market. It is pricey but worth every penny.I have a teenage son who has not been able to get sweat odors out of his clothes. This worked the 1st time! I was so impressed. I will definitely but this product again!

110% must have!! Forever customer here.
This stuff is out of this world amazing! I have tried probably 20 different products because my son struggles with bowel issues and that’s an odor that is nearly impossible to remove. I was throwing away hundreds of dollars worth of clothes. I tested this with a whole load of stinky laundry and one wash, two scoops and it was gone! Even takes the dog out of my comforter and sheets. 110% recommendation!

The thing about scented detergent is it smells so good you think that your clothes are throughly washed. I was looking for another alternative and I’m so glad I found this. No strong scents but you know it has done the work simply because my kid’s stained clothes turned white + it manages to remove blood stains. Amazing. Will definitely purchase it again!!

I have white sheets on all my bed and my son gets nose bleeds and sometimes doesn’t even realize it like when he is sleeping. Previously, I had tried bleach and then peroxide along with vinegar. The combination of peroxide and bleach seemed to work ok on fresh stains but not dried on ones. I continued to research and found some very useful articles discussing that blood and other fluid stains contain proteins and the other methods I had tried, along with hot water, only solidify the proteins and makes them harder to get out.Once I was aware of the protein issue, I continued to read that the best way to fight these types of stains was with enzymes that break the proteins down. I then searched for enzyme based detergents and came across Dirty Labs. It was referred to several times in various articles. I then looked it up on amazon because it wasn’t available in stores around me. There were thousands of positive reviews that I am now reinforcing with my own positive review. The first time I used it there was a fresh stain on my son’s sheets. Even thought they don’t say to do it, I got a small dish and put some of the crystals in and stirred it around. It is actually quite hard to dissolve but once I did I then took the stain on my sheet and sat it in the small concentrated bowl. The blood disappears almost instantly. I let it continue to soak. I then took the dissolved solution and put it in my washing machines Pre-Wash container and washed all my whites. I am not sure but it seemed that my sheets were extra clean. Perhaps this was just in my mind but it seems the enzymes are a different method of cleaning and provided a new type of clean.I have also dissolved the crystals into a paste and used it on other stains. I took a tooth brush and dipped it in the paste and put it on other old stains that I couldn’t get out. It seems to have removed those as well. So, my final conclusion is that I am VERY happy with this product. The one draw back seems to be that that the crystals get everywhere and I had to vacuum the laundry room after. Perhaps this is how I was using it. There is a liquid version that I may try but the concentrated crystals were cheaper per load so I went for that. Maybe I will try the other liquid next time. I would love it if the company would send me a liquid sample to try. However, for human liquid stains this is a great product.

I was hesitant in spending the on this as money is extremely tight but after a hot summer and a recent cat accident, where we thought vinegar and detergent would be enough… well. We were running out of options and a big problem. Not only did every other not get the smell out, the cat pee smell stayed in the washing and unknowingly got in ALL of our clothing the next few washes. Everything smelled like cat and being extremely sensitive to smell, I was not having a good time. Nothing was safe and NOTHING was getting it out. Not even the pet brand odour remover spray did anything after multiple cycles of drenching the items and letting them dry. I thought no way this stuff would work, but googling reviews kept leading me back.Let me tell you. After a single load, the laundry smells better than I think it ever had. After years of laundry with communal apartment washers, I believe I got used to the odd smell it would leave the clothes with. I had forgotten how TRUE clean clothes smelled like. Key is to let everything air dry.We are now soaking everything with a removable cover, ever launderable piece of cloth, all of it. This stuff is amazing. We bought a couch a few months ago second hand and it had a mystery smell that nothing was getting out. Wasn’t urine, but maybe sweat or musk? Mold destroyers, vinegar, carpet cleaner, nada. Washed it heavily. Everything that touched it would smell like the couch. It has removable covers and those are soaking in the tub using these enzymes. After an hour the water was yellow brown! It’s rinsed and soaking again and the smell is almost gone.If you have stubborn cat odours and you’re pulling your hair out trying to fix it, get this stuff. For your own sanity.

Realmente muy efectivo contra cualquier tipo de mancha y la cantidad que se usa no es mucha. (Dependiendo de la carga de lavado es de una a tres cucharadas)Definitivamente lo tendré contemplado para mis compras recurrentes.
