Waterproof, easily installed, great quality
Absolutely thrilled with this waterproof rug pad! It was easy to size to our rug (just trimmed the excess off). The waterproof bottom not only keeps our wood floors safe but grips securely on all sides! Annnddd unlike others we’ve tried, there’s no latex smell, which is a huge plus. It’s soft, plush, and adds a luxurious feel underfoot making our rug look even more high quality. The rug pad came with some folds from shipping but it flattened within the day and now lays so flush and nicely. We liked it so much we bought one for my in-laws! They are very thrilled with it as well!! Their old one was similar but not nearly as grippy and has a porous bottom that wasn’t waterproof and harbored mold! Would DEFINITELY buy again!

Protects the floor, but holds spills and odors
This rug pad is waterproof on the bottom, but absorbant on the top. Since it is not washable, it holds in liquids and odors. Not the best for pets and spills, it is too expensive to have to replace every time something is spilled on it. The only way to really clean it is to take it outside, hose it down and air dry it. It would be better if it was non-porous on the top.

Works well and no issue. I will be buying a large one for a bigger rug. I started small and it was a solid buy – satisfied.

These are good pads. Their adherence to the floor is excellent. I gave adhesion 4 stars because the carpets drift off of the pads, albeit very slowly. I have a pair of 9′ x 2′ hall runners. I notice once a month that my carpet has slid a tiny bit off the pad. It’s trivial to reposition the carpet onto place. Your mileage will vary on slippage, depending on the texture of your carpet’s undersurface. I am allergic to latex, so there is no way I am going back. The pad creates a softer feel to the carpet compared to the thin, mesh latex pads I had on the floor before. It also adds a tiny bit of insulation, which is important for my house since it is on a slab.

It seems to do its job
The pad was a perfect fit for the rug “top” I had purchased. I easily cut off the 1 1/2 foot excess length to match the 8 foot length rug, but the 2 ft 6 in width was perfect. The pad is fairly thin itself. I wanted that because if it is too thick it becomes a trip hazard. So far it is not moving on the floor. I don’t know if it really is water proof since it’s not been tested.
