Cashmere & Cedar – Amazing! Smells a LOT like Sheep’s Clothing by Henry Rose
Ok so I had NO idea what to expect with this carpet powder and just took a late-night chance buying it (we’ve all been there). Well let me say that I am extremely pleasantly surprised. Most carpet powders that I’ve ordered or found in big box stores have obnoxious cheap smells that, as they fade, kinda make my rugs smell not very good. I’ve been looking for years for powders that have high-end scents that are more like an expensive candle or designer perfume than cheap overly-scented Gain-tier stinks. I think Lapew as a brand is the answer to my searching.The specific scent I’m reviewing today is Cashmere and Cedar and I literally picked it because of the name (haha), totally judged the book by its title, so to speak. Interestingly I found that it turned out to be a fairly good dupe-adjacent for a perfume that I recently fell in LOVE with by Henry Rose called Sheep’s Clothing. The scent is very gender-neutral, not too sweet and not overly masculine. Its soft, yet a touch woodsy without being harsh or fake-smelling, and has a very sensual warm finish with a tiny bit of expensive leather. If you live in a household that has a hard time agreeing on scent, this might be a nice middle ground for both partners.The scent is long lasting without being overly strong. This is making is me legitimately WANT to do some vacuuming just because I love the smell so much, which is great for me because I am known to get lazy about that particular chore. This is my first Lapew product so I will be ordering a few more scents (gotta keep things changed up so I don’t go scent-blind) so I’ll follow up with more reviews! PS – I read other reviews that mentioned using this product as a closet or dresser-drawer cachet scent and I think that is BRILLIANT. I am planning to buy a few scents specifically for that purpose to make my clothing smell amazing so stay tuned!

The Most Amazing Smell Ever
Wow! It really does smell amazing! I went back and forth on this carpet deodorizer because of the ‘coconut’ part of the scent -I just didn’t know if I wanted to smell coconuts all of the time. I read the reviews a second time and that is what sold me, because most of the reviewers said that it was an amazing smell – not one of the reviews mentioned coconuts, so I ordered it. It smelled good in the jar, but I decided to use it right away because the directions said to let it sit a while. I let it sit for 2 hours, and then vacuumed. When I turned off the vacuum and took a breath in – it was like I was in a whole new space. The reviews that had sold me on this product were TRUE! Thank you reviewers. I cannot describe the scent other than adjectives such as: lovely, beautiful, kind, gentle, sunset, sunrise, ocean, grass- you get the idea. Maybe that’s why it is so divine, it uses something from all of those scents. The amazing smell was strong (but not too strong) for a few days, and then it weakened over time, but at 4 weeks I could still smell it over my two dogs. I will have to put this one on subscription.

Black ice
Works great, but the scent isn’t for me. The smell reminds me of the “Black Ice” car air freshener.It’s not a bad smell, but not the smell i was anticipating or wanted for our home.I’m also a married woman trying to create a cozy home with kiddos. this smell might be more up the alley of a guy lol

Smells so good
This worked really well! I kept feeling like my carpets smelled bad and this may have not taken it 100% away but I think it helped a lot! The fragrance was really good too and lasted awhile! I would say I wish it came in a bigger size, it didn’t take long to use up. Definitely a repurchase for me!

Smells good but doesn’t last long
Smells really good but it doesn’t last long. As in I only smell it maybe an hour after using it and I don’t smell it anymore.

My house smells amazing
My house smells amazing!!!! I will definitely be buying more. Works great and leaves a great long lasting scent. Great value for the price and size. Easy to open and use. Did not clog up my vacuum like some others.

Scent doesn’t last long.
I got the Coconut Mahogany scent and although the scent is incredible, I find the scent doesn’t last very long compared to other carpet powders. I have bought big brand ones that I can smell through my house for weeks. I have carpet in my living room and bedrooms so it was nice to have that clean scent throughout my home but the scent although strong at the first use it in your face, becomes dull quite quickly. The next morning, I couldn’t even smell the powder. If you want to make your living room smell great right after you vacuum or right before you have some people over and want your home to smell nice without candles, this is great but doesn’t wow me for the price.

Smells great sent lasts for a few days. You don’t get very much for your money though The bottle wasn’t even completely full.
