Details

The Tapo Contact Sensor T110 enhances home security by providing real-time notifications when doors or windows are unexpectedly opened, allowing immediate action. It offers versatile functionality, as it can trigger other Tapo smart devices, like lights or cameras, through programmable Smart Actions. To operate, the T110 requires the Tapo Hub H100, which connects up to 64 sensors via the Sub-1G Low-Power Wireless protocol, ensuring extended battery life and wider coverage. The hub also includes a 90dB ringer with 19 tones and supports Smart Actions even without network access, ensuring a responsive and reliable system. *Note: This device operates exclusively within the specified Sub-1G band. Please note that different regions support different frequency bands. Ensure that the devices or hubs you intend to use are compatible with the same Sub-1G band.
REQUIRES Tapo Hub-To utilize Tapo contact sensor T110, a Tapo hub H100 (sold separately) and a secured 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network connection are required. Tapo T110 communicates with the hub via the Sub-1G Low-Power Wireless protocol, which provides extended battery life for the sensor and a wider coverage area compared to Wi-Fi. The Tapo Hub H100 can connect up to 64 sensors simultaneously and includes a 90dB ringer with 19 different ringing tones. The Tapo Hub also enables the use ofSmart Action for sensors and other Tapo devices even when the network is disconnected and is highly responsive.
Go Beyond Just Doors and Windows- The device provides real-time monitoring of windows, doors, cabinets, fridges, mailboxes, and other items that can be opened or closed.
Real-Time Notification- If a door or window is opened unexpectedly, you will receive instant alerts on your phone. You can also program the Hub to activate a siren as a warning in the event of danger or to deter intruders.
Smart Action- Tapo T110 serves as a common precondition for Smart Actions. You can program your Smart Contact Sensor to turn lights on or off, or to disable your Tapo security camera when a door is opened.
Long-Lasting Performance- Assuming triggers of less than 30 times per day, the device can operate for up to 2 years using only a single CR2032 battery, which is included.
Easy Installation- Easily mount the device to nearly any surface using the included 3M adhesive.

    So far, so good
I got this to replace the “dumb” sensor on my porch mailbox, because I am converting everything to a smart system and wanted something that would integrate.I also have one in my bathroom, so that it turns the lights on when the door opens. (I haven’t quite figured out how to program it to turn them all off when I leave, though).(Btw one of mine came with a completely dead battery and no sticky pads, but I bought it used on Amazon.)I will edit this review later as I get more used to it, and give time for any flaws to emerge.

    Paranoid military brat living alone
Love this! I grew up with family in the military but like the “I think someone is following us – we need to lose them and take the back roads” kind lol. This keeps my mind at ease and is handy for when maintenance somehow doesn’t close the door all the way…. They know better now lol

    Buen sensor
Funciona perfecto, inclusive cuando no quedan alineadas las dos partes.

Good, could be a bit better
For the price I have no complaints. They’re an inexpensive, unobtrusive and really easy way to keep track of doors and windows. Sticking them on is very easy using the included 3M sick on pads. I don’t know why they don’t include the exact measurements because it won’t fit everywhere, the main part is 1 inch wide and the other piece is 1/4 inch wide. There’s a lot of flexibility in the app to set up all kinds of actions and notifications based on when this device is triggered. One nice thing is to set up alerts for when a door or window is open too long. I know I, on occasion, will forget to close my garage door so I may get another one to stick on the garage if I can find a spot that works.I’m using mine mostly as an alarm for a back door that isn’t used much. When triggered it will send me notifications, turn on every light in the house, and sound an alarm at the hub. It’s obviously not meant to be a high security device but it would make it hard to silently get into the house through that door if the power is on. It also doesn’t hurt that someone seeing it from the outside really can’t know if it’s connected to police or not.A few ways this sensor could be even better:1. It would be nice if the exterior of the device included a “time out” button. I use this on my back door partially as an alarm but that means if I want to use the door I have to go to the app and temporarily turn off the hub alarm. It would be nice if there were a button on the sensor itself that I could push to pause detection for a timeframe that I choose.2. Make the reset button accessible without having to pry off the back cover

Tapo Door Sensor: Reliable Smart Home Lighting Control.
The Tapo Door Sensor resolved my smart home lighting dilemma: motion or door sensor for smart outlet lights? Motion sensors may turn off lights if I’m still (e.g., reading), while door sensors need the door ajar during brief absences. I chose this door sensor with Tapo app scheduling for my study, using regular LED bulbs on a smart outlet to control non-smart lights. Motion sensors suit high-traffic hallways. My ‘nightlight’ automation dims Tapo bulbs to 1% at night with a delay, guiding restroom trips. The required H200 hub doubles as a Matter hub, supporting other Matter devices. Absolutely reliable so far!

    NOT FOR OUTDOOR USE!!!
I purchased these in the hope that they could offer coverage for my outside screen doors to our backyard screened in area. They initially performed much better than the sensors from Vivint or ADT as far as range. The automation piece is lacking which I would assume is because they are new to this area which I’m fine with. I was able to get them to trigger an alarm if the sensor detected an open condition after certain hours. (Mind you it was far FAR more difficult to configure than it should be for a product claiming to be a ‘smart’ home feature set.) However they worked great for about 2 weeks. Then it rained out and at the time I didn’t think anything of it. I came to find out a few days later that yes they are not in any way, shape or form intended to be used outside in the elements. The sensor went offline, so I investigated and found the battery was dead and it appeared to have some rust and corrosion. So the sensor is toast. Don’t know if this is covered under warranty, probably not. But while the range on these is very good, you can’t use them outside because they are just not built that way. I had purchased these with the intent of dropping vivint and building my own security setup. I’ll still look to go that route although outside will require some out of the box thinking. It wouldn’t be difficult to make a sensor that is slightly water resistant but these are not those. You will need their hub for them to work but I can attest to the fact that the range is excellent. The hub sits in the middle of my home and is able to reach outside without issue through the masonry blocks my home is built of. One issue I’ve had with vivint is the sensors furthest from the panel disconnect from time to time. Even with a hub added in I still have issues.Cost is also something that can be a challenge when looking for door and window sensors and these were priced pretty good when on sale.I would only recommend purchasing them when you can get them on sale and as long as your using them inside out of the elements.

Aunque termine devolviendo el producto, esto fue porque no puse atencion y menciona que ocupas el HUB para que funcione, eso aumentaba mi gasto, pero una amiga lo tiene y funciona super bien y muy padre

I have other Tapo devices, and like them for the price point. We had an issue with the teenagers leaving the freezer door open and defrosting everything. Installed this sensor and set to alarm at full blast for 10 minutes straight if the freezer door is left open. Will keep the teenagers for being lazy.

Works great, step up was easy with H100 Hub

Very good sensors, I installed on my patio door, garage entry & front door. App & hub are easy to f configure. Able to setup with TP-link light switches so after dusk when door opens it turns on the lights at the door. Also able to set alert if doors are left open, you can even control the time limit for response.
