TP-Link AX3000 WiFi 6 Range Extender Internet Booster(RE715X), Dual Band, AP Mode w/Gigabit Port, OFDMA, Beamforming, APP Setup, OneMesh Compatible
Universal Compatibility: Works with all Wireless Router, gateway, or cable modem with Wi-Fi**
All Wi-Fi extenders are designed to increase or improve Wi-Fi coverage, not to directly increase speed. In some cases improving signal reliability can affect overall throughput
A single router has limited WiFi coverage and always causes WiFi dead zones. RE715X wirelessly connects to your existing router and boosts more WiFi signals throughout your home, allowing you to enjoy smooth WiFi 6 network experiences everywhere with great speed, capacity, and coverage.
The latest Wi-Fi 6 technology is built for today’s devices, eliminating lag, endless loading, and dead spots. It fully satisfies your network needs especially for bandwidth-intensive tasks like cloud gaming or 4K UHD video.
Built-In Access Point Mode
RE715X is more than a wireless range extender. Simply plug an Ethernet cable into its Ethernet port, and easily turn your wired internet connection into a 2×2 MU-MIMO dual band wireless access point.
EasyMeshTM
EasyMeshTM works as a whole home Wi-Fi solution between different access points, providing strong, seamless, stable, and scalable wireless connections covering your whole home stable connection. If you already have EasyMeshTM or OneMeshTM devices, you can economically expand your network with TP-Link’s EasyMeshTM router or range extender, without replacing your existing devices.

Amazing wifi extender
Ok so internet at my house has been spotty around the house at times until I got a wifi extender. I bought one, but that was a few years ago. That wifi extender would only get me about 100mb/s from a router that was located downstairs which would get a speed of about 500-900mb/s (depending on how close you were to it). Now that my home has frequent guests and even more devices that require internet connection around the house, I needed something that performed much better.I decided to get this wifi extender to supplement my old one. This new wifi extender I decided on is triband and performs a lot better. I now get easily more than 200mb/s when I check the speed on my phone upstairs. Of course speed isnt the only feature. This extender helps my internet connected devices stay connected to my main network without having to switch between my main or extended network manually. As soon as I move from downstairs to upstairs, my phone switches to the extended. This makes the process very easy for all people in my home.If you are looking for a new extender for your home, consider this one as one of your choices. Setting it up was very simple. I didnt need to wire it to my router to set up. I first plugged in this extender close to my router. Then, I opened the TP-link app (of course you need to make an account which is free and simple) and identified the extender to the account on the app. After all that, I could set it up with my network nad entered in the password. Finally, I could unplug the extender and decide on where to place it in my house. If you need help deciding where to plug it in, the app helps you by letting you knoe if the extender is too far from the router or if you can place it even further. TP-Link has been a pretty good brand for the most part. Good customer service and easy to use products. Overall, a great experience.

Setup done in about 15 minutes including testing
Comes with a single sheet setup, with several option of how to link to the existing WiFi router. I chose the one with the Ethernet link. After plugging into power, the power LED blinks blue for about 2 minutes while it boots up, then solid on. It is not clear enough that the Ethernet setup option needs the Ethernet cable from this extender does not go to the existing Ethernet hub/switch etc. It goes direct from this WiFi extender to the PC, so the PC is only connected to the extender. Then follow the instructions. Since my WiFi router is dual band, first do the setup for the 5 GHz band and then the 2.4 GHz band. You will need to have the WiFi router’s password handy, and need to enter it twice. If you never changed this password, then it is on a label on your WiFi router. You will also need this password when you connect to this WiFi extender when you are done with setup. Once setup is done, this WiFi extender shows up with the same SSID as the WiFi router with -EXT added to the SSID. I was able to place this WiFi extender about 60 feet away with 2 intervening walls. The destination area that this extender serves is about 60 feet away from the extender in another building. I haven’t done a speed check, but I get good Wifi strength (all bars are on on destination equipment) and video data (YT) comes in loud and clear with no hesitancy. Browsing is also as fast as if linked to the WiFi router. Have always had a good experience with TP-Link products (mostly Ethernet switches).

Getting stronger signal strength and twice the speed on the 5.0 band.
I would say 4.6 Stars. Out the box used WPS. Took 3 times but the third was a charm. Was it TP-links fault or mine that it took 3 minutes to start rather than one?Overall, the signal is stronger with the AX5400 on my phone. Getting -36 to -39 dBm on both bands with extender. -72dBm and -63 dBm on the bands without the extender at the same location (second story with router on the first). In case you ask for Wi-Fi, dBm is often used to measure the signal strength or received signal strength indicator (RSSI), which tells you how strong or weak the Wi-Fi signal is at a specific location.-30 dBm is a very strong signal (almost ideal for Wi-Fi).On the speed, with the extender getting 352 Mpbs down and 293 Mpbs up on the 5.0 band and 176 Mpbs down and 119 Mpbs on the 2.4 band. Without the extender I get 156 Mpbs on the down and 96 Mpbs on the up for the 5.0 band and 153 Mpbs on the down and 116 Mpbs on the up for the 2.4 band. Mbps (megabits per second) is a unit of measurement for data transfer speed. In the context of Wi-Fi, it refers to how fast data can be transferred over the wireless network, typically in terms of download and upload speeds. As you can see from my tests the extender almost doubles my speed for the 5.0 band BUT for the 2.4 band at this time is basically the same speed. While a stronger signal generally indicates a good connection, speed is influenced by many other factors beyond just signal strength. The extender is definitely providing a stronger signal which generally means more reliability in terms of stable connectivity, lower chances of disconnections, and the ability to maintain a better-quality data transfer.I am getting very similar speeds for Wi-Fi for my desktop. I am keeping the AX5400 for the increased signal strength and the faster 5.0 band, but only giving 4.6 stars due to no increase in the speed of the 2.4 band, although the cause is probably congestion and not the fault of the extender Still pretty good rating.

Must have product for security cameras located away from the router.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I recently bought TP-Link AX3000 WiFi 6 Range Extender and was immediately impressed with it. It has increased my wifi range with both 2.4G and 5G dual-band wifi. My security camera is located at the farthest point from my router. I placed this Wi-Fi extender in the middle of the path between my router and a security camera. The camera is receiving the much-needed 2.4G wifi signal, and I am getting all the live videos and motion detections clips. Quality:Top QualityWifi signal:StrongSignal strength:About the same as near router
