Very handy!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:We have two of these switches and use them with our SmartThings hub to control some lamps. They work great and were easy to set up. We started having a problem with one after about 8 months of use. The button sometimes would work and other times wouldn’t. I contacted the company and they immediately responded and had a replacement mailed to us. We are very happy with the customer service and with the switches.

The best ZigBee switch ever
I have this LED shop light that plugs into the ceiling but nothing to control it. The light has a chain to turn on the shop light. But i wanted a wall switch but didn’t want to rewire the outlet to a switch which would require doing some drywall cutting and repairing. So I bought this ZigBee Smart Button and paired it to my Hubitat C8 which was very easy and smooth. I also had some extra Kasa HS103P2 Smart Wi-Fi outlets. I created an App and now have the ZigBee switch control the Kasa outlet to turn on/off my shop light.I used the magnets to place the ZigBee switch next to the Kasa motion switch, which controls a different light. I like that it is battery operated and that i can move the ZigBee switch around at any time. The ZigBee switch can have 3 different mode by pressing the button once, twice or hold. Currently i don’t have a second device to control or a 2nd function do, so it currently only does one thing with the single press.I bought it when it was on sell for about $16. Right now it sells for $20, but even at that price it is well worth it.

Works but not what I expected
I’m only pairing to an Echo with built in Zigbee. I had very odd behavior if I paired the device directly to Echo, it would show up as a switch but would not work (shows unresponsive in Alexa app). However, if put the button right next to the Echo (within a foot) and then paired the device it would show up as a contact sensor and would work for the most part; only single click and double click could be used to turn target device on/off. While long press would also turn off target device, I couldn’t see any way to make use of this extra state for scene trigger. Since device shows as contact sensor Alexa only has on/off options for it. Additionally, I was unable to have a single click “toggle” the power state so I had to create two routines (one for ON and one for OFF). Note, the docs state the device would show as motion sensor but mine did not and that’s a good thing as no 30s cool down timer (per the docs). Maybe there’s a firmware update but since I’m not using Third Reality app, I don’t see a way to do that.It does work well and delay is maybe a full second but would be nice to have full functionality within Alexa Echo Zigbee without buying another hub. Range is also pretty good as I have Echo on 1st floor and button on 2nd floor.

Easy setup, slow firmware upgrade though
This thing is awesome – I got this to fix a problem – having my kid yell across the house for me or her mother constantly while we are on a call, in a meeting, working, etc. I have a Sonoff Zigbee antenna in my Raspberry Pi 5 I’m using to serve Home Assistant, so this thing just connected right up no problems at all.It even immediately told me there was new firmware available, so I installed it (about an hour to upgrade). It says it has 3 settings, but looking at the entities in HA, almost seems as if you can build 4 triggers from it instead (due to the fact that it can see you hold versus letting go after a long press – so maybe build a trigger that looks for a hold to start an action and then when you let go, it halts the action).I have this setup now for 1 press – turns on a light in my computer room to let me know she needs me; 2 presses sends a push notification to my phone, which also hits my watch of course; hold and let go – push notification to her mom’s phone and watch lol.Silly, but works lol….although I admit, the first 20 minutes I already regretted it because I kept getting paged for the most random of things and it got annoying real quick lol. But hey, that’s what disabling the automaton is for 😀

Works good but in HomeAssistant only 2-Way Remote Control.
Ok works good for what I have it doing. One button pressed turn room lights on and double pressed turns room lights off. Now for me I did not see a 3rd button option for Pressed in HomeAssistant. I did not take star away because not sure if it me, HomeAssistant or device but how I currently have it set up working great.used with Zigbee dongle USB Plus, HomeAssistant 2025.4.4 and Zigbee2MQTT

Requires an additional third reality hub
After chatting with support this device needs an additional hub to work properly. So if you just want to pair it to an echo that has zigbee support it will not function on its own. I was told it needs the third reality hub to function with echo. The latest echo version can act as a zigbee hub on its own but not with this device. I did buy other third reality switches that did work with echo natively without any additional parts, but that was not the case with this button.

Synced up and setup perfectly, can see battery in the smart home app. Clicks always read. Never a problem, never gets disconnected, perfect switch!

High hopes but I’d probably skip this one.
Works ok for a bit and then have re-pair it. I would not buy these again. Also, pushing the button a few times consecutively ends with basically freezing up.

I have to re-pair them with Alexa routine almost every time I use them. Such a pain

Purchased to add buttons to a few lamps around the house and rooms that don’t have light switches inside of them. Works really well with a SmartThings hub. The link to the SmartThings driver was not correct on the paperwork that came with it, I had to go to their forum and I found the proper driver there. I decided to use command strips as I don’t know how safe the adhesive pads that came with it would be on the wall. I used the medium sized ones and the length is perfect, there is just a tiny little part of the pull tab off the bottom of the unit.
