light never worked
Super cute gnome for my dad’s front yard gnome collection. I thought it would be fun for him to have a solar gnome. He still doesn’t have a solar gnome because the light does not work. The whole point of the statue is that it lights up at night. Maybe I’ll plant flowers in the glass orb that was for the light!

Cute decoration bud came with a defective battery
I ordered the solar garden outdoor statues décor metal gnome solar decoration to put in our flower beds along with the other garden gnomes that my wife has been collecting. I thought this was a cute metal genome and liked the solar light feature that is part of it. I was really disappointed when I turned the light on and placed the gnome out in direct sunlight to allow it to fully charge the battery after positioning the solar panel to ensure it would receive the most direct sunlight. That night after it was fully dark the light on the gnome did not come on and I toggled the onoff switch to make sure that it was actually turned on without any luck. I then allowed an additional day of charging the next day and still no light wo I was not sure if it was the switch or something else inside the box. I opened up the box and found it has a triple A rechargeable battery inside and when I replaced it with a regular triple A battery the light came on. I didn’t have any rechargeable batteries and had to go to the store and buy a 4 pack of rechargeable batteries to replace the battery inside the light box. This was an additional $10 expense as batteries on sold in singles. The light has now been working the last few days and is a cute decoration, but you shouldn’t have to replace the battery right out of the box to get the light to work.

Excellent quality and extra cute! I LOVE this garden gnome figure with solar light! It’s a thicker metal, easy to stake into the ground if you have some metal stakes on hand. it’s kept ours from falling over during windstorms. The paint and colors are wonderful. Bigger than I’d thought too! Love that it’s solar-powered. The light doesn’t last super long though, regardless of sun time. Works like it should.

Garden gnome
I have a huge garden gnome collection and am glad to have added this guy. I have collected these types of statues for years and am well aware of their potential for breaking if dropped or knocked over on a hard surface. But they are relatively inexpensive and easy to move around. The heavy expensive concrete ones break just as easily.

this is a really nice ornament, too bad the switch was bad. Metal and glass construction, no cheap plastic. If it worked, it would have been 5 stars!
