Beautiful, Stylish and Sturdy Knob
My wife and I were looking to change out our builder grade door hardware and found these by Kwikset. I’ve had Kwikset locks before but not standard door knobs and didn’t know what to expect. These really have exceeded all of my expectations and fit in great with the look of our paneled door.I found them very easy to install and was able to switch out each old knob in under 15 minutes. The knob comes with all of the hardware needed to replace the old hardware including matte black strike plate, face plate, and screws. The knobs have a beautiful and durable matte black finish that I think contrast well with white doors. They even endured a scratch I thought I left from accidentally running the tip of my screwdriver on the knob’s side and wiped off well. These are also reversable and can be used on either left or right side door knobs (this is done by being able to remove the actual knob with a hex allen L wrench to flip it). Compared to my old knobs, the Pismo set is sturdier, a tad harder to turn to open the door, and is smooth when turning. They also do not move around when pulling on them.The last thing I want to mention that I love about them is the additional key it comes with to unlock just in case you need to bypass the lock. Using the small hole in the front, the small L shaped, flat head type key twists the locking mechanism from the inside and allows you to unlock the door. I also found that the key is also small enough to hide above my top door trim piece.Overall, I love the color and how sturdy this knob is compared to other door knobs I’ve had in the past. It works well and based on my experience after using it daily for several months, I hope and don’t expect to have any issues!Note: The interior “Privacy” knobs are the ones that have the lock on them as compared to the “Passage” or “Dummy” (not lockable) knobs.

Kwikset Pismo
Our home has the Kwikset Pismo door knobs installed on all of our interior doors. We needed to convert some of the pass through door knobs to locking door knobs because our son is getting mobile. They weren’t available anywhere so I was happy to find them on here. They fit the current holes in the door perfectly. Very easy to switch them over. The lock functions easily along with the knob itself. Color matched our current ones perfectly.

Classic, timeless and QUALITY door knob.
Quality classic door knob! I’m am oddly impressed by a closet door knob. Lol. It looks timeless and just feels impressive. Replaced an old builder grade closet door knob, even my husband was impressed by the weight and feel of this knob. It installed in minutes and after a year it looks and functions the same.

I purchased (2) damaged box, door knobs for the same price, on the same day. When they arrived on the same day, in the same package, one was in a box with all the pieces, ‘Amazon inspected’ the other was loose in the delivery bag, only the knob was present, all the interior parts, screws, instructions and strike plates were missing. I contacted kwikset but they did not confirm they were able to send the missing pieces to make the door knob usable.

Very sturdy, heavy.Indeed, like I can see in other reviews, maybe for young children it is dificult to open the door, or for elders with painfull joints, but for adults in general I don’t see a problem. Personally, I prefer as is. Chrome looks always fresh, nice on light colors of the door, nicer on darker. I’m happy with my purchase.
