Exactly what I needed — fast delivery and great performance!
I needed this printer urgently on Sunday, and to my surprise, it was delivered in less than 5 hours — incredibly fast service! Setup was super easy, the wireless connection worked flawlessly, and it prints and scans beautifully. On top of that, it comes with 3 free months of Instant Ink, which is a huge bonus. Perfect for home use — I’m really happy with this purchase!

Easy Set Up and Use
Easy to use. Works better that one I payed $450.00 for a couple years back. Just amazing to be able to use it the same day I bought it. Very easy to connect to it by phone, easy to set up WiFi.Good value for the money.

DO NOT BUY – Worst Purchase of 2024 By Far
I wish I could return this godawful printer. I cannot wait until I purchase its replacement and can take this abomination to an abandoned field and beat it to bits with a bat. Yes, it is cheap, but it is worth far less than what I paid for it.This is my first time using an at-home printer in awhile, and it is hands down the worst printer I have ever used. I have to repeatedly contact HP because the printer refuses to connect to Wifi when it or the Wifi is rebooted. HP’s Printer Portal is a JOKE and does nothing except confirm that the printer is offline. If the printer gets disconnected for any reason, you have to call HP to get it reconnected to Wifi since the Printer Portal does not provide options for connecting it. You also cannot stop the printer from performing a print job, even if you cancel said job from the queue, meaning you have to choose between wasting ink or unplugging the printer and contacting HP Customer Service to get it reconnected. The UX experience gets a 0 out of 5, and while the printer does work once it is properly set up (which is near impossible to do on your own if you do not have an technology background), it takes about 5-10 minutes just to get connected to HP Customer Service any time you have an issue (which, in theory, should be able to be addressed in their online portal, but which, in practice, is impossible to resolve without professional assistance). Add another 5 minutes while they confirm everything about you save whether you are an organ donor. HP Customer Service has also made me carry my printer to different locations in my house because of how hard it is to get it connected to the internet (connectivity is not an issue for any other electronic device I own). This printer now sits within six inches of my router, and still it cannot reconnect to Wifi if anything disrupts its connection.I got this printer so I could quickly print drafts of my writing and do handwritten revisions. I have pretty much given up on using it after only a month of it being set up given the many issues I’ve encountered in such a short time. HP is actively creating waste in the world by putting out such bad products, and I will not be purchasing any other HP product, printer or otherwise, ever again.

Go HP go Instant Ink
Prints pretty quick. Not excessively noisy but not extremely quiet either in my opinion. But still not loud by any means. Great printer! Go with the Instant Ink subscription despite what others may say. Instead of paying $40 for a new ink cartridge, when your almost out they will automatically send you a new one free when subscribed which can cost less than $2 per month based upon the amount of pages you print per month. It will save you a boatload of money.

Worth the price if you have patience to deal with technical issues
I’ve had this printer for about 7 months now. For the most part it works as it should. It prints at an acceptable speed, I mostly use it for document printing so I have no quality issue with that. I have printed photos as well and they printed fairly well, I wouldn’t get this however if you are planning to use for high quality photos/stickers etc.I have so far run into a couple technical issues with wireless connection that I eventually troubleshooted. But I had 2 other issues that I couldn’t figure out . First, I signed up for the Instant Ink trial, I could never get the cartridges to properly connect so I was unable to use the instant ink I was shipped. I didn’t have the patience to reach out to support so I just cancelled it.Second issue occurred this week. The information button kept blinking and said I needed to resolve an account issue or I wouldn’t be able to print anymore. I couldn’t figure out what was going on and it eventually stopped me from printing altogether. I reached out to support after attempting to fix on my own. They walked me through it and we just needed up doing a factory reset. The issue ended up being that my ink cartridge was still connected to instant ink even though it could be used as a regular cartridge (it Came with printer).I’m not the most tech savvy person but I’ve also had HP printers multiple times over the years and never had an issue I couldn’t figure out. This was however my first time attempting to use instant ink. The instant ink features create their own unique set of headache. I mention this because it was also a deciding factor as to why I purchased this printer since it came with 3 months free.Overall I understand the cost effectiveness of utilizing instant print features, but my experience thus far makes it less appealing. Seeing as you can use the printer with regular cartridges I still find it was worth the fairly inexpensive cost.

Great printer
I needed a printer so badly and I ordered it in Amazon and it came in pretty quickly, which was very rare because it takes three weeks

This is a really good printer. It prints really well. You can make copies and scan with it. The last HP Printer I had lasted 10 years, double the average life span for printers. 1 thing I really love about this printer is the Instant Ink plan that I registered the printer for, You only get charged for the pages you print, not the ink you use. And let me tell you, you’ll save a bundle by enrolling in the plan rather than buying ink cartridges. And genuine HP ink cartridges are mailed to your residence. If you have an HP printer, you cannot afford not to enroll in the Instant Ink plan. So, I’m plugging HP’s Instant Ink plan as well as a great printer.

I’ve been a loyal HP customer for years, but the HP DeskJet 4255e has been a complete letdown. While I received Instant Ink as a free trial on this machine, I’ve been a paying subscriber for my second HP printer—a model that’s cheaper, more reliable, and equipped with a touchscreen, unlike this one, which forces me to use the frustrating HP Smart program just to complete basic tasks.Despite barely using the 4255e, it still managed to be defective, and dealing with HP customer service was a nightmare. Their lack of support made it clear that they don’t prioritize customer satisfaction. This experience has convinced me to cancel my Instant Ink subscription and switch to a brand that delivers quality and functionality without the hassle. If you’re considering the HP DeskJet 4255e, save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.Rating: ⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5)
