24/7 Instant Alarms: Set preset temperature ranges, and the WiFi freezer thermometer will alert you via app when the temperature rises or drops outside of the range. The freezer temperature alarm ensures a stable connection to maintain food and equipment safety. (2.4Ghz WiFi Only)
Monitor Temperature Anywhere: Keep track of temperature data in real-time from anywhere with the GoveeLife’s APP without subscription fee. The WiFi gateway supports pairing up to 10 sensors. And you need to connect to the gateway for APP remote alarm. If you need more freezer alarm sensors, please search ASIN:B0CLB3BTSG.
Upgrade Accuracy Probe: The freezer temperature monitor’s wide measuring range of -40° to 158°F with ±0.9°F / 0.5°C accuracy and 2s fast refresh to ensure the data is reliable. The probes and cables are slim and sturdy, allowing flexibility to fit in the refrigerator or freezer. Our fridge thermometers bring convenience to your life!
Smart Anti-False Alarm: The anti-false alarm allows the freezer alarm to notify you after 1-10 mins of temperature overrun. Prevent falsely triggering the alarm when opening the refrigerator to take food. And it notifies to remind you to change the battery when it’s low.
Easy to Place: The unique holder reduces messy cables and better secures the probe inside the freezer. With the design of magnet and lanyard, you can also monitor the temp in fish tanks, hot tubs, usw. The LCD display makes it easy to view the temperature directly.

Great insurance against a freezer failure
Purchased this a few months ago, and have now had a chance to use it and see how well it works. In short – it works very well. Setup is easy (both installing and connecting the sensors to your home network, and configuring the app). The app in particular was reasonably intuitive, which is helpful. There are lots of app settings you can adjust, but the most useful for me is the alarms to alert you if the temperature goes outside a specific range (as in “oops, you left the freezer door open again”). This feature has saved me several times. I got a notification that my deep freezer was at 20 degrees – too warm, but still well in advance of when I would start to lose food.My only suggestion is that the instructions for the placement of the temperature probes could be better. I initially installed them near the top of the freezer cabinet, but that location led to lots of false alarms when the freezer went through its normal defrost cycle. I’d suggest installing the probes a bit down from the top instead. I have mine just above the second shelf down, which seems to be an ideal location. You can’t get replacements for the brackets that hold the temperature probes (per Govee), but I was able to pry them off the cabinet wall and reposition them. The adhesive squares that come with the kit stick amazingly well – just make sure the spot you are attaching them to is dry, and you should be good to go.Overall I’m very happy with the units, and would definitely recommend them.

It is easy to setup and use and is accurate as advertised
I recently (5-6-24) purchased the GoveeLife WiFi Freezer Thermometer Alarm 2 Pack, Remote App Alert. I can tell you it is easy to setup and use and is accurate as advertised.I have seen reviews about this device saying it can be hard to set up and there were issues with false alarms and the lower limit setting only went to -4 F.My experience with setup and programing went flawlessly. I just used the simple directions that came in the box. Download the app, plug the gateway into a receptacle, pull the battery disconnect tap out of the thermometer and plug the probe into it. Follow the directions and the app does all the work, prompting you for what to do next. Note, I was prompted to wait for the gateway to download an update, and then later for the the thermometer to downloaded one. I did not have to do anything to facilitate these updates except wait a few seconds for each one.As far as false alarms, you can easily avoid them by setting the time in the temperature alarm section on the slide bar to 10 minutes. That way if your temp rises when your freezer goes through the defrost cycle, or when you open the door to get something, or when you bring a bunch of groceries home and have the door opened for an extended period you shouldn’t get an alarm unless the temp stays out of range for over ten minutes. After viewing temperature data for five days I found that my freezer temp never rose above 18 degrees and that was after shopping and having the door open for an extend time while rearranging and putting stuff in. Note, when I first set it up I just had the probe hanging on the door so when you had it open it was effectively reporting room temp after a few seconds. I moved it about half way back into the freezer and stuck it on side wall. Now I don’t get immediate wide temp swings when we open and close the door. Reaching in to grab something quickly will produce a 2 to 6 degree temp drop and temp returns to normal within a couple of minutes after closing the door. I can actually look at the recorded data and tell when the door was opened or the freezer had a defrost cycle. As far as the lower limit setting, mine has a lower limit setting down to -40. This may be something that will change for the units that only have a -4 setting with an update. I set my lower limit to -12 and upper at 22. My data stream shows that my freezer runs about -4 to -6 when it the door stays closed and it isn’t going through a defrost cycle. I think the 2 degree swing comes from the ice maker cycling because it heats the tray the cubes are in for release and then introduces water from the service line to fill. My probe is mounted near the area of the ice maker, if I moved it down a shelf or two it might not see this fluctuation. I likely won’t move it as it is just more data about the normal operation of my freezer. This is a great way to protect your self from a food loss and a smelly mess. Not only will it send an alarm to let you know something has gone wrong but you can see by looking at the date occasionally if your freezer is not behaving normally before it become a big problem. You can also tell if someone is holding the door while they sneak a few spoons of ice cream!I bought it so I have peace of mind when I’m on a trip. If something goes wrong I can call someone to go empty the freezer, keep the food from going to waste maybe, and not come home to the kind of mess that would take a hazmat team to clean up. The price was also great considering you get two thermometers in the pack. Great product that I would buy again.

Impressive and Useful Sensors (temp & their water detection products)
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Excellent product…straight forward installation (just like their water detection devices), excellent design and construction.  These are monitoring our 4 home freezers with a very impressive range between the sensors and base station.  The magnets on the sensor backs are convenient as attached to the freezers.   The app has useful details like a historical record of temperatures and the set point warnings to the phone work well.  Recommended….Functionality:Just what I needed to ensure freezers are functioning.Build quality:Very well made and designed with many excellent features.Accuracy:Holding steady and appear accurate per our old ‘manual’ gauges.Connectivity:Spot on from the remote location (garage to 2nd floor study)

    Challenging to work on Wifi
This has very accurate temperature reading.  If you want to check your freezer’s temp remotely, this is challenging to set up.  We’re still struggling to get it on wifi.  Works fine with bluetooth but you need to be nearby to read that on your phone.  But overall I like this.  Remember that you need to put the display box on the SIDE of your freezer if you want the cord to be on the freezer shelves.  If you are happy with the sensor on the door shelves, then you can put the display box on the front of the door.Accuracy:excellentConnectivity:challengingReliability:so far, so goodWhy did you pick this product vs others?:because it ostensibly works with wifi.  Still trying.Range:if we can get it to work on wifi, should be indefinite.Functionality:Ideal IF working on wifi.

    So happy I purchased this.
I love this product. I am always worried that my children are not closing the freezer properly or that the freezer might stop working. This sensor lets me check the freezer temperature on my phone whenever I would like. It has worked reliably for the eight months that I have had it. The app is easy to use and send alert to my phones if the freezer is over a set temperature. This was such a great purchase. I highly recommend this product.

One thermometer worked well, while the other didn’t (had troubles connecting to the bluetooth gateway, and kept requesting a firmware update even though I’d updated it several times). Would have returned one, but the return and refund window had closed. For a 50% hit rate, I’d say this was a little expensive.
