I’ve been using the Govee RGBIC LED Strip Lights for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly impressed by how much they’ve elevated my space. As someone who spends a lot of time in a home office setup (and loves smart home tech), Govee stands out for its combination of ease of use, vivid color control, and app integration.🔹 Installation was simple – the adhesive is strong, and the flexible design made it easy to shape around my desk and TV.🔹 Brightness and Color: The RGBIC feature means multiple colors show at once — unlike many cheaper RGB strips. Awesome govee addition to the house
We bough this product back in October ’24 and installed it shortly there after. I waited to write this review because I wanted to see how it held up to our rain and storm months. I am here to say that this product is well worth the money that I spent on it. The build quality is pretty good, able to hold up to some heavy storms here on the west coast. The install was pretty easy, just had to remove the already installed light and swap the bracket. The wiring was pretty self explanatory. Make sure when you are done that you add a moisture resistant caulking around the outer edges that attach to the wall to prevent water and moisture from getting into the wiring and other parts.This item works well with other govee lights and can be used with the app to help monitor and change all the devices you have registered. The girlfriend has fun changing all of the lights based on the season or occasion. There are multiple presets but you can also add you own which is pretty neat.overall, totally worth it.

Awesome Smart Porch Lights!
I installed these on the front of my house and overall I’m really happy with them. The install was a little tricky just because of how the bracket is designed. It sits completely flush against the back of the light, so if your mounting surface isn’t flat (like mine, with overlapping panels) it doesn’t sit quite right. We ended up using some thick double sided tape to even things out and make it more stable, and that worked great.Once they were up, though, they looked awesome. Even when they’re off, they have a clean modern look. When they’re on, they really stand out in the best way. The Govee app is super easy to use and the lights connected to the rest of my smart home setup without any issues. I love being able to change the colors for different holidays or moods.

Good side and back door lights
I have 4 of these now. Mount easily to standard fixture box. App is intuitive and responsive. I like changing up the colors for holidays and such so these are a perfect alternative to replacing colored bulbs. The scenes are an interesting addition, calling them specific things is a stretch as these aren’t screens, just a set of LEDs. But I do use them for waterfall looks and such. Just leave the wall switch on and control color, time on/off, etc. from your phone. Had them through the winter (mild) and they are holding up so far. Can’t say how long they’ll last but for now they are still going strong.

These lights not only look great but they are extremely bright. Install was very simple if you understand basics of how to wire any other light. Still learning the app but so far I was able to link it to google home without an issue, create a group for my garage lights as well as all outdoor lights. Still trying to figure out the DIY setting but nothing seems to be wrong, just need to play with it. The orange is a little disapointing as I was hoping to rival my neighbor’s Yankee’s flag with a little Mets light show. But all in all this was a solid purchase. The govee website also sells an outdoor motion sensor. It does not seem to be available on Amazon. But in case anyone was looking to use these as motion lights, that appears to be possible. It hasn’t arrived yet but I will try to update my review when it does. Got these on sale and I must say it was well worth the money.

Great lights, if they work.
I purchased 3 of these and installed them as our primary outdoor lighting sconces.They look great at night and during the day. They are very bright. we run around 30-40% to be on par with our neighbors lights.Many reviews say they look cheap, I do agree, but that’s because they’ve probably mounted them their cheap house with vinyl siding. I mounted 2 on vinyl, they look totally fine, much better than a big-box store lamp style light, the only difficulty is getting them flush and finding the right depth to set the mounting plate so the siding is not pushing the fixture out of plumb.The review is only 4 stars because one of the lights died within a week with a professional installation (I am the professional), I am in the process of getting replaced it via the app with their “rapid replacement” feature.

Bought 2 of these for my doors, and use Home Assistant to set up automations so that when one of my cameras is triggered, they light up. Perfect and love all the features to change colors etc in the app. I have lots of Govee products and these are great! Held up perfectly even when covered in snow here in Canada!
