Convent and easy to install
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Very convent to have the finger print lock as well as a code and the app. Very easy to install but the directions are very very tiny so a bit hard to read. Wish there was a pass through mode instead of the privacy mode since we will never use that but it would be good to be able to go in and out when the kids are visiting.

Nice, durable and aesthestically pleasing
Eufy locks have never failed me, have on installed for my garage entry door and side door and now this one for my front door. It’s intuitive and installation is a breeze, can’t go wrong with them really. It’s nicely build, doesn’t feel cheap and battery will last you a year before really needing to change.

Good with shipping quirks.
Good product with some weird shipping quirks.I ordered a new one in black and it showed up with loose screws in the box and scratches on the handle. So I returned that unit and ordered a used like new one for $40 less than the new ones we’re going for. (If it’s going to show up scratched and with loose parts, I shouldn’t pay new prices) Funny thing is though that the used like new unit showed a delivery date of the next day. So I ordered it and went to track it the next day only to see that it was scheduled for delivery in TWO WEEKS! Weird, right?! So I go and ordered another one – same thing. Used like new delivered tomorrow, but when you go to place the order it says over 2 weeks to receive. Is there a glitch in the matrix?? Is this an Amazon thing or a Eufy thing? I’m confused. This was to be my second Eufy C33 lock and now I’m wondering what the problem is. The first one works great. I wish the instructions weren’t written with the smallest font ever, but that’s what the magnifying app is for I guess…

My Second Biometric Door Lock
While I have only own this for a month it is far better than my previous biometric door lock at the same price. This one recognizes my fingerprint much easier than my past lock. If my hands are dirty or wet which most will have issues with deciphering your fingerprint, then I just use the code method to open the door. It does take more batteries than most at eight instead of four, but it is supposed to operate for up to 12 months. I’ll update my review after a year of daily use. I prefer the fingerprint sensor in the door handle which is much easier to use than in a separate location. I already had a eufy doorbell, so the app was already on my phone. I have a detached workshop that I wanted to keep secure without needing a key every time I entered. Plus this one is better with moisture or rain than my previous lock requiring a many attempts to unlock.

Worked fine around for one week and then failed.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:The lock lasted around a week and then stopped working. I contacted customer support and the sent in the info they requested, their response was an AI generated generic response telling to try this and try that. This is the lock to my front door and instead of maybe having a real tech person diagnose the issue. I get a generic AI generated response. Instead of trying to get me a working door lock, I’ve almost a week with a faulty door lock and the best I can get from them is a generic response. We are force to use the key to open the door now as the electrical parts that engages the latch isn’t working. I have escalated my case through the provided link.
