Excellent room humidification plus multiple convenience features
While we have a central, forced-air HVAC system, I have supplemented this with a room humidifier in our master bedroom during the mid-Atlantic winters. I had been pleased with the Taotronics ultrasonic unit, but it appears to have been discontinued. After extensive research, I bought this 6 liter Dreo ultrasonic unit. Over this past winter, it has surpassed my expectations.First: Humidification Performance. Our bedroom is almost 250 sq. ft. with a 9 ft. ceiling height. We have a ceiling fan, operating at the lowest speed. We put the humidifier on a small table that is about 2 feet above the floor. The Dreo unio is capable of dispensing water at three rates. I’ve settled on the lowest rate. The unit has a built-in relative humidity (RH) meter (which I’ve verified using a sensor elsewhere in the bedroom.) I set the Dreo control to 30 % RH, which is our preference. The unit brings the RH to that level and sustains that all night (and all the next day)!Additional helpful features:1. No dampness on the surrounding carpet – the fine mist evaporates before falling to the floor.2. Directional mist flow. A modestly adjustable louver can keep the mist from settling on an adjacent piece of furniture.3. Easy to fill. This is a top loader. I can either lift the top of the water tank and pour water from a gallon milk jug (after making sure all the milk residue is gone) or lift the water tank and carry it to a sink for filling. I’ve done both with no mess. Note that 6 liters of water plus the tank weighs about 15 lb.4. Large, lit RH display for setting the target RH and the water dispersion rate.5. An LED also lights the water tank, with the color indicating the RH range. This can be turned off at night.6. The unit comes with a plug-in water filter that, so far, has trapped the mineral content of the water. This makes humidifier and water tank clean-up very easy. The instructions suggest a timetable. In about three months, I’ve seen no build-up or aroma. I do the clean-up about monthly.7. NOTE: This unit is so quiet, I can’t hear it when it’s running. This is great for sleeping. It’s not a problem at other times, since the unit automatically turns off when (a) the RH reaches the pre-set value (turning on again if theRH drops) or (b) the water level in the tank gets below a pre-set level.In short, this is an outstanding performer at a low price. I’m pleased to have found it and expect you will be too.

Very Good Humidifier, So Far
Perfect for a decent size area of the home. Super quiet. Barely hear this humidifier running, even at full speed. It’s easy to fill when needed. All functions work and I love the mist as it comes out from the top. Love that the mist can be directed if needed. Lighting is nice and soft, too. Easy to put together and relatively easy to clean. I like that it will shut off once the tank is empty. The slot for fragrant oil is nice… just do NOT put anything but water in the tank. As for the app that can be used to control this humidifier, I prefer not to use it, but it works fine.There are some concerns as to the white dust that can accumulate on the unit itself and the surrounding area. If you don’t like dust, then this may NOT be the machine for you. No issue for me, but I know others don’t like the fine particles of the evaporated water left on all surfaces after a week of running this humidifier. Best to use distilled water if you don’t want as much dust. Cleaning will take some time. The water will get “icky” in base after 3 days. While it’s easy to take apart, each and every piece needs a wipe down that has any contact with the tank and base water. After a week or so, it’s best to use vinegar to remove the hard, mineral deposits and possible bacteria that can build up. It definitely needs clean-up care. All and all, I love my Dreo humidifier as do all my plants that surround it. This is my 3rd Dreo humidifier and I can’t imagine not having on during the cold season.

Nice humidifier, good size, good moisture
So far so good, we started using it and my husband absolutely loves it. I fill it every 2 to 3 days for our bedroom size. Wish I could tell you what the size is though. It’s a medium size room. I love that it feels from the top and that you clean it once a month. It puts out a lot of mist. I find it very quiet and I do like using the timer. There is a slight learning curve for me, to use it but once you have the idea of the level of humidity, I just put it on manual and press the on button at night. I have yet to clean it because I just had it for a month but that’s happening next weekend. I think for the money it’s a great little humidifier. Also it’s a nice size. I have a small personal humidifier which I also use during the day sometimes when it’s very dry. I have yet to figure out the filter
