Luxurious Set!
I purchased this for a guest room. I originally was looking for a patterned, floral quilt set but then saw this. Granted, it was November that I bought it- If it was summer I would have stuck to my original idea, as this is a heavy blanket. Although I was first looking for a patterned set, this royal purple solid color worked well with the smoked lavender, pale grey-white walls and the contrast is beautiful. The color and plushness of this set is very luxurious!The comforter IS heavy, but I keep my house cool at night and it works for this time of year. The fact that it’s reversible is a plus. I bought the ‘Queen size plus’ and it does overhang the bed but I like that because it hides the box spring.I don’t know about washing this at home. Even with my larger basined washer, I think this would be too heavy once wet for my machine to work properly. I anticipate having to take it to a laundromat with commercial washers. My dog has been on top of this and I have vacuumed it and that works!I gave it 4 stars because once it was on the bed, a week later I noticed a ‘puckering’ in two places on the comforter. I don’t think it’s supposed to be like that but due to the plushness of the fabric it isn’t that noticeable and I didn’t want to hassle with packing this up for a return.I would recommend this purchase, especially if you are a person who likes a warm, cosy blanket!
