Highly recommend!
I’m seriously so happy with this doorbell! It’s wireless, sleek, and way smarter than any other ones I’ve tried. It has advanced human detection, which is a game-changer because other cameras give you so many false alerts from like, wind, animals, or random motion. This one? It knows what’s important – people and packages. The video quality is super clear, both during the day and night. It captures every little detail. And I love that you can talk to whoever is at the door through the app — it’s really convenient when I’m not home or just upstairs and don’t feel like going down. Plus, the included chime (which I keep in my living room) is loud enough that I can hear it from anywhere in the house. It was also so easy to set up, totally waterproof, and it looks really nice too. I also love that there’s no monthly subscription or extra fees — once you buy it, you’re good. And the customer service was super helpful and kind.If you’re thinking about getting it, don’t even hesitate. This doorbell is smart, reliable, and honestly just makes life easier. Highly recommend!

Good value for a basic doorbell camera
Solid basic doorbell cam – high marks specifically for what it offers in this price range. Video resolution, audio quality, ease of setup are all decent.Keep in mind that each home neighborhood and user may have different needs, so review all of the detailed features of each product and choose carefully.Miscellaneous observations after first few days of operation:- package recognition and push notification seems to work (see screenshot photo with automatic category indicators at bottom left)- doorbell button lights up when it senses someone approaching- battery life – to be determined. After 5 days it still indicates 100%.It can be powered directly by USB-C cable, but the power & SD card port is unfortunately at the upper left side, instead of being hidden at the rear.- Comparison note: the higher-cost Aosu Doorbell Ultra version has an anti-theft alert feature that sounds an alarm and sends a notification if the unit is removed from its mounting base. However the Ultra version does not have this Doorbell SE’s package alert feature, in it’s current firmware version 4.15.173.Final note – I have installed dozens of Aosu camera products in various homes, and their customer service has always been responsive.

UPDATE………ON Happy, Mad and Disappointed… Has turned to just Happy & Excited….
“HAVE AN UPDATE TO MY LAST REVIEW”Julie Yan contacted me by email and stated that my doorbell cams were not doing what the company expected and would send me out a new doorbell cam to try at no cost to me. “Well I was shocked and thought the email was a scam” Checked and responded back to her to find out it wasn’t and my new doorbell cam is on the way. Talk about customer Service… “WoW… I give the company and Julie a two thumbs up and a High Five. Always great when a company stands behind it’s product. I’m happy already and have not even received the new one. Thank You again Julia and AAOSU. “YOU ROCK”This door bell cam has an excellent picture quality, they look good but the time it takes to get video to see or catch someone stealing is something to be fixed or improved. I do not have a memory card installed as yet but that shouldn’t be the problem. It had trouble picking up my wifi signal so I purchased a booster and it still is very slow or it tells me it cannot catch the signal most of the time. I have (2) on different doors. Pushing the door bell feature works really good and it’s notification that someone is there or approching is really good if only I could see it when it happens. It can only look straight ahead so if you need to see a side view this is not it. Lastly you cannot store photos in the cam. You either have to pay for that service or install your own memory stick. I gave it two stars because I purchased the entire system and want to throw it in the trash but the outside solar cam for the yard actually works. No problem with that one. Sees everything and comes up when motion is detected. So one out of three is bad but one day when I have time plan on calling customer service.

Aosu V8E. Awesome battery Doorbell.
Okay, so, I finally caved and got the Auso V8E doorbell, and honestly? It’s kinda cute! Like, way less intimidating than I thought a smart doorbell would be. Setting it up was a breeze, even for someone who usually calls their tech-savvy friend for help. The video quality is surprisingly crisp, I can actually see if it’s my Amazon package or just a squirrel. Plus, the two-way audio is hilarious! I’ve already used it to tell my roommate to stop singing in the shower, even when I’m at the grocery store. The motion detection is a little sensitive, I get notifications for leaves sometimes, but better safe than sorry, right? The app is super user-friendly, and I love that I can get alerts straight to my phone. It’s definitely made me feel safer, knowing I can see who’s at the door, especially since I live alone. The battery life is decent, I haven’t had to charge it as often as I feared, after thee days of using it, the battery still at 100% charge. It’s also kinda fun to see who’s lurking at my door when I’m not expecting anyone. Honestly, it’s a game-changer for deliveries. I don’t miss them anymore, package detection is awesome. It’s also a good way to see if my friend is joking about being at my door. The night vision is also really clear. And the design is sleek and modern, it fits my aesthetic perfectly. I think it was a good purchase overall. And get this! The Auso V8E totally hooks up with Alexa, which is like, chef’s kiss for my smart home vibes. I can do all sorts of cool stuff, like have Alexa announce when someone rings the doorbell. Imagine, “Alexa, someone’s at the front door!” instead of just a chime. Plus, I’ve set up routines so that when the motion sensor goes off at night, my porch lights automatically turn on. It’s so much safer, and honestly, it makes me feel like I live in a futuristic movie. It’s definitely made my smart home feel a bit more complete and a little more fun. I recommend this doorbell 100%.

I recently installed the AOSU Doorbell Camera from Amazon at my home entrance, and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. This is another addition to my existing setup of AOSU cameras (see screenshot). First and foremost, I must commend the amazing customer service this company offers. I have contacted them multiple times in the past, even for minor concerns, and they have always responded promptly and resolved the issues to my satisfaction. This exceptional support is a major reason I continue to choose AOSU and add more of their devices to my home. The doorbell camera provides a 170° ultra-wide angle and a 9:16 vertical view, which ensures comprehensive coverage of my porch. I can easily see visitors from head to toe without any blind spots, and it even captures someone approaching the door from a distance. The 2K full HD clarity is exceptional, offering crisp and clear video quality that allows me to see every detail of what’s happening at my front door, both day and night. One of my favorite features is the ability to record videos without a mandatory subscription. I can use a memory card to store recordings and access them directly through my phone. For those who prefer secure cloud storage, AOSU offers economical plans. The notifications and alerts are real-time, with a call triggered to the mobile app on any phone where it is installed. This is a great feature if you need to monitor the area closely to avoid missing any live push notifications. I currently prefer standard push notifications and was able to adjust the detection settings to reduce false alerts triggered by animals or moving shadows. The AOSU Doorbell Camera integrates seamlessly with my Alexa device, allowing me to view live videos from all my cameras simultaneously through the AOSU app. The two-way voice function is incredibly convenient, enabling me to speak to visitors in real-time, even when I’m not at home. This feature was particularly useful with my main door camera, where visitors had to keep their heads up to talk to me. With this doorbell camera, communication is much more convenient. The camera comes with a chime, a charging cord, a camera wedge kit, and an instruction manual. The initial setup was super easy, taking less than a minute with the AOSU app. The chime offers a variety of audio options to choose from. However, one recommendation would be to include all the audio options in the AOSU app to make it quicker and easier to select new bell sounds.Overall, the AOSU Doorbell Camera Wireless is an excellent choice for anyone looking to enhance their home security without incurring ongoing subscription fees. It offers comprehensive coverage, smart detection features, and high-quality video, all while integrating smoothly with other smart home devices. I highly recommend this product for its reliability, clarity, overall value, and superb customer service.

I have been using the AOSU Wireless Doorbell Camera for a few weeks now and so far I am very satisfied with the quality of the camera. We chose this particular camera because of the competitive price, the good reviews and also because you are not required to pay monthly subscription fees if you install a SD memory card.It was extremely easy to install and set up with clear instructions. The app is great and in spite of not being very tech savvy, I was able to set up the features without any problem. It has a very sleek design and the video quality is clear and sharp both during the day and night. Any activity outside our door is detected and recorded and we receive instant alerts through the app. This gives us peace of mind when we are away from the house.I did have a concern when it came to charging the battery but when I left a message with AOSU Support team for assistance, Julie got back to me very quickly. She was very kind and understanding and helped me with my issue immediately. What excellent customer service! I feel valued as a customer and also reassured that if I need support, someone will always be there to help.

I’m really happy about how this is working. I simply put in a MICRO SD card rather than use a cloud subscription. I originally expected to use an SD card that I already had, but bought a good sized brand name micro SD after I received the doorbell and wound up spending about $50 on it. Video is clear, works well even at night, records when any person enters the view and doesn’t get triggered by things like bugs or far away objects (and sensitivities can be set). The app is easy to use and the notifications and ringing on my phone (which I set) are working great. People don’t hear me well when I speak through it sometimes so remember to set the volume high if you’re using that. It even has a voice modulator which makes me sound like a male which is great. If someone rings the doorbell then when I answer the call, it’s only voice when you answer so you need to manually open the app to see the video so I’ve got to remember that, but if you touch the notification that someone is there (I have this set all the time), then it goes straight to the video. It’s really a great change in how safe I have felt since I have moved in recently and even had a porch pirate steal a package already, and my door isn’t strong enough for a bar/chain lock that lets you peak out Plus then they can tell you are there, and if you’re not there, the doorbell wouldn’t get an answer so they may easily figure out that you are not there. When I talk through this doorbell with someone, they don’t know whether I’m home or not. But somehow when I was looking at this online, I had the impression that I would only need to charge this 1-2 per year. I don’t know if that is in the product info or if I was just mistaken, but I have had to charge it about every 1.5 months. And it does warn you when you watch the live video for a while that it uses a lot of battery power and prompts you to stop. I do look at all the videos and get packages often and my neighbours trigger it too, so I am may use more power than average, but had I known how often I would be charging it, I may have thought more about getting one that can be wired in the electrical system of the home instead of a rechargeable one. But it is easy to see how much charge is left on the app. Only taking a star off for having to charge often and having to buy an micro SD on top of the cost. Tip: don’t install it against something on top (mine was up against the regular doorbell of my home in order to get the right height recommended. It will be hard to pop it out of the holder because you need to start higher and slide it in and you need to slide it up a litle first to get it out. There was no warning in the installation instructions about this. I used screws and I should have placed it half an inch down. Luckily unscrewing the original doorbell plate allowed me to get it in and I can charge it in place with my outdoor outlet. The bonus of this is that I don’t worry about a thief just popping out the unit to make it easier to steal packages. One stole a sign that I made for delivery drivers so I could see them figuring out how to remove these.

I purchased two of these doorbell cameras at the same time for different sides of my house. The set up was easy, and the app is user friendly, it took me less than half an hour to set up both doorbells. I opted for local storage utilizing a micro disc which has been great. The camera clarity is clear during the day and night. I really enjoy the ability to adjust the detection length of the sensor so one of my doorbells is short, while the other is quite long giving me flexibility to cover as much area as possible without having to many false alerts. The only thing I don’t love about the camera, is how loud the internal doorbell chime is, it would be nice if there was a volume control on it but that is super minor.About 3 weeks after the install, one of my doorbell cameras stopped working completely. It would not connect, nor could I reset it. I decided to contact Aosu customer support relaying to them what was happening with my camera. I received a response within a few hours with a few extra steps to take to try to fix the camera, but ultimately the unit was not functional any longer. After about 3 emails back and forth, Aosu support decided to send me a brand-new unit and were very apologetic about their product failure. I received my new doorbell earlier than expected, and it was once again easy to set up.I have had no issues at all with the other original doorbell I have, and it has been in some decently extreme temperatures lately, around -20 Celsius overnight.I was disappointed with the one camera’s failure, but the customer support team at Aosu really made up for it. Failures happen, but when a company owns up to it and is eager to rectify the issue, I have great respect for that. It is due to their customer service that I have no problem giving these cameras a great review.

Great camera. I wanted something that was not super expensive but reliable. Also, I didn’t want to be stuck with mandatory cloud storage monthly payments and the flexibility of using only local storage with a memory card was a deal breaker for me. Push notifications work great (if you live on a busy street, I recommend switching from call notifications to text push notifications. After 2 months and a half of use, I had a minor issue (the image of the camera turned pink), and the online support was great and sent me a replacement for free. I couldn’t be happier.
