RADON DETECTOR: Radon is the number one cause of lung cancer among non-smokers and kills more than 6x the number of people than home fires and carbon monoxide poisoning combined
CONTINUOUS MONITORING: Radon gas fluctuates daily and is highly dependent on many factors such as weather conditions. Long-term monitoring is crucial to take control, understand long-term exposure and minimize potential health effects
EASY TO USE: Simply wave in front of the monitor to get a color-coded visual indication of the air quality (Green, Yellow, Red) or connect to the App to get detailed results
NO LAB FEES: Get both long and short term radon results straight to your smartphone via Bluetooth and easily generate a radon report through the Airthings Dashboard
FOR EVERY HOME: A battery-powered, smart radon detector which monitors radon gas all year round as well as humidity and temperature
CONNECTED: Airthings Wave 2nd Generation has Smartlink functionality, meaning it can connect to the Airthings Hub to bring your data online 24/7

Must have Active radon monitoring system every homes !!
Someone posted on ring about an elevated radon gas readings in my neighborhood. As a first time home owner, I was concerned and started looking for ways to test. The passive testing kits available on big box stores costs about $10 for the kit and $20 for the testing + shipping. For a little extra cost, this active radon monitoring device saved my day. Shipping was quicker than expected. The setup was fairly simple, connect the batteries and pair with your phone and boom you’re all set to monitor radon gas levels along with other air quality metrics. This device is an absolute banger for the buck !! Highly recommend this product to everyone living in the radon active zones. Peace of mind with fraction of the cost!!

First step in Radon awareness!
I’ve had this set up in my basement for about three weeks now. It seems to be working very well. I am getting a 30 day baseline average before we have the mitigation team come in. I also appreciate the app that goes along with this product.

Buy one.
I took advantage of a sale price, not really knowing a lot about radon. I always assumed radon affected older homes, mine was built 22 years ago in an upscale area. I knew my levels would be normal but thought I’d check it out anyway to see if I needed to keep a window cracked in the basement or something. I thought the detector was faulty initially as was ready to return it, the levels were very high, about 12 pCi/L or about 3 times the EPA limit, and 4.5 times the EU limit. After researching, these units are actually very accurate and sensitive to radon. I actually had a real problem. I opened all windows and sealed my sump well and called a radon company. They installed a mitigation system a week later. Every home should have a radon detector, and most most homes should have a mitigation system. I had no idea I lived in Zone 1 which is the highest level. This unit was very easy to set up, configure and use. Given that radon is the #1 cause of lung cancer for non-smokers, this is a matter to be taken seriously for sure. Price was very reasonable and I’m really glad I picked this thing up.

Good detector, wish it integrated with Truya
Over all a decent detector for radon (and apparently humidity and temp as well, as most detectors throw those in) but I do not like having to use a proprietary app to see the detection values. It would go a long way for faith in the longevity of the product if they would add Truya integration so that we know if the company goes belly up we will still have a working device.

Great Device
Good device. Works as described. Accurate and easy to use. The phone app function is great. I highly recommend.

useful
Accurate like my non-Bluetooth older version from the same vendor. Beforehand, I never knew of regular spikes and how high/long they lasted (the older version just gave 1 day and 30 day averages). Temp and humidity tracking a nice bonus too.

inaccurate across the product line + garbage customer support
UPDATE: Over the course of the 1 month return period with Amazon (about 45 days because I had two units), I tried to pin down the issue of varying measurements by contacting the customer support to see what they have to say. I provided all the details about 1) how long the two devices measured, 2) how close the two devices were to each other, 3) what the 1 day and avg on both, and so on, 4) that both were new units directly from Amazon, 5) and that both were reset together to measure over the same period of time. My responses were then ignored at least three-four times and every time I send a follow up message asking why it’s taking so long (after 4-5 days), the same representative named “Joshwin” apologized and asked the same scripted questions again. When I respond him with the same answers, he then disappears and so I had to send a follow-up message. So this back and forth went for close to 45 days now and I said forget it, I will just return the Wave as well. I rate this company’s customer support at the bottom of any company I’ve interacted with and I will never recommend this company or its product lines since I was never able to get an answer as to why the two devices had varying measurements.—I initially bought Airthings Corentium Home and it has been reporting quite high radon levels – ranging from 3 to 11, averaging at 6.7ish. Because it was difficult to check it constantly as it is in the basement, I also got Airthings Wave so that I can check from my phone.Airthings Wave has been reporting 2 to 5 despite both devices are in the same basement only a couple feet away. I even reset the old device to ensure that they start measuring the radon level at the same time. Even now, the current readings are off by 2+ pci/l.I’ve reached out to Airthings support with my observations and despite that they asked a couple initial questions like did you start measuring at the same time, after I answered their questions, they have been silent. They did read my messages as shown in the chat history with them but they just do not respond. I guess they already know the potential inaccuracies in their products.Based on my experience, I am just not going to rely on Airthings products.

Really nice to have.
Gives you continuous readings and costs about the same as having someone come over and do the test for you.

Unlike some of the reviews posted, my unit had zero problems. I unboxed the detector and the only trouble I had was removing the battery after updating the firmware. The app download from the Google Play store was straightforward and setting up the account was simple. I placed the detector in the basement and already have readings showing that the radon levels overnight in the basement were higher than acceptable exposure levels. To get trends, as noted in the app, you need to have at least 30 days worth of readings. That said, I can now follow carefully what the readings are and ensure proper ventilation to remove the radon gas.

Working well to monitor the radon levels in my home. Well worth the price for immediate constant monitoring vs. the $60 for one time use lab kit, when radon levels fluctuate

Restituito.
