Reliable, Convenient, and a Huge Upgrade Over My Previous Thermometer
I’ve been using the INKBIRD INT-12-BW for a few months now across dozens of cooks, and I can confidently say it’s one of the most reliable thermometers I’ve used—especially when compared to the MEATER I previously owned.Initial Setup & Connectivity:I initially encountered some frustrating disconnection issues where the probes would intermittently drop from the base unit. However, after installing a Wi-Fi extender near my smoker, those problems disappeared entirely. Since then, the connection has been rock-solid, even during long, slow smokes.Performance:The multi-probe support is a game-changer. I regularly smoke several cuts of meat at once on my pellet smoker, and being able to monitor everything from the app in real-time is incredibly convenient. I’ve also used it with my charcoal grill and found the transition seamless.App & Functionality:The app is intuitive and stable. I really like being able to set custom alarms for each probe, monitor both ambient and internal temps, and review historical cook data. Compared to the MEATER, which often struggled with Bluetooth range and app sync, the INKBIRD has been much easier to use and far more dependable.Build Quality:The base unit feels solid and the probes are accurate and responsive. Battery life has also been excellent; I’ve only needed to charge it a couple of times despite frequent use.Final Verdict:If you do any sort of smoking or grilling and want consistent results without constantly babysitting your meat, the INKBIRD INT-12-BW is a fantastic choice. Just make sure your Wi-Fi signal is strong at your grill/smoker and you’ll have a great experience. Highly recommend this over Bluetooth-only options.

    Worked like a charm!
I am mainly a vegetarian and my husband eats everything. One of his favorite things to eat is steak. Before I invested in this meat thermometer, I just did not have that magic touch with getting his steak done to a perfect medium. It would always be medium well or bordering well-done, and sporadically medium rare in some parts of thicker-cut steaks like ribeye. Instead of dreading the anxiety of wasting prime-grade steaks here-and-there, I started my search for a meat thermometer. I read several people on Reddit really loved this specific company’s products, and how user-friendly the app is. After reading several reviews from different companies on their meat thermometer, all roads led me to buying this one.I purchased a couple of prime-grade New York steaks for Thanksgiving dinner. All I did was apply a light coarse pepper crust and Redmond salt onto the steaks, let them rest for about 30 minutes, and I inserted the thermometer in areas where there was not a fat cap. One steak was 14.8 oz and the other was 13.8 oz. The app is ridiculously-easy to use, and I set it for an early reminder, which alerts you 9ºF before it reached medium doneness at 140ºF. I used Brian Lagerstrom’s technique of cooking these steaks. I seared them on medium-high in a 12″ cast iron pan with grapeseed oil — three minutes on one side and 90 seconds on the other. I then placed the pan in the oven at 450ºF and let it go to desired doneness. It is nice to watch the base give you a current temperature read out as well as the ambient temperature, too. After a bit of time, I got an early warning that one of the steaks reached 131ºF, so I hung around nearby until it got closer to the target mark. I removed the first steak at 140ºF and let it rest. Its internal temperature hit a peak at 147ºF while at rest. The second one went to 145ºF at its peak when at rest.My husband and our family friend commented that the steak was perfectly-cooked all the way through. Not a single bite of their steak was left, so that is a victory in itself. It worked! This meat thermometer worked! I believe for next time, I will remove the steak when it is about 5ºF away from the target temperature/doneness, so it will be even better. I really appreciate that Inkbird made this, as I no longer have to worry about screwing up on steak anymore and second-guessing if it will be cooked throughout. Thank you so much!

Most Awesome and advanced BBQ thermometer!
To begin with, this thermometer combo is the most technologically advanced unit I’ve ever worked with…no doubt. I highly advise playing with the settings and making sure you get your unit on your home’s Wifi prior to cooking. The wifi can be tricky. I had to get the unit close to my router aamd manually type in BOTH the name of the network and the password. After that, the unti synced up and everything was great. This has 2 wireless thermometers, and the thing to know up front is that the longer block one is the only one that measures the ambient temperature of the air in addition to the meat temperature. Huge win! So, if you are smoking just one piece of meat, the black thermometer is your go-to, and the white one is the backup.By the way, another huge win is that both of the thermometers are DISHWASHER SAFE!!! This hasn’t been the case with other thermometers in the past, and I’m glad to have it for sanitary reasons.Today, I smoked some dino ribs, and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Enabling the unit to my wifi meant that I could check the temperature of the air and the meat wherever I went with the app. I actually left the premises to have breakfast down the road, and had no worries because I could monitor everything important. The app is super friendly, and it doesn’t burn through your phone battery like other units that I’ve tested. It does take a little bit of time to get it all perfect, but when it does it is golden. See some of my screenshots to give you an idea of what I’m talking about. The app is truly beautiful. If going wireless isn’t an option, that’s okay too because it also can operate on Bluetooth if you are within a certain distance. All in all, this is a superb advancement in meat smoking technology that I recommend to anyone who smokes one or two main courses at a time. I’m not sure if more thermometers can be added, so I’ll stick with other options for larger smokes. But for now, this Inkbird is my new favorite for cooking family meals. My dino ribs could not have turned out any better, and that was mostly in part to having an awesome thermometer.
