Breathed new life into old zapper!
Fluorescent bulbs seem to be more effective in attracting bugs than newer LEDs, but they do suffer from shorter lifespans and consume more energy. The heat they put off might help to attract bugs, but it may also be their downfall.I’ve retired several bug zappers over the years, and usually the electrified grid still works fine, but the light has wore out and bugs no longer are convinced to pass through the grid. With some disassembly, replacement bulbs like these are more affordable and less wasteful than replacing the entire fixture. The packaging didn’t seem adequate without being packaged within a larger box, but they arrived intact and functional, so I guess I lucked out. These 13 inch bulbs have the full size pin spacing and not the narrow pins like some 12 inch models, so make sure that these are appropriate bulbs for your fixture. If these are a match, they should work well and save you some money and save the landfill from taking your old fixture for a while longer.

Shockingly Good (Most others aren’t)
I honestly shuddered when i opened the box. I’ve known this type of bug zapper to usually be broken after the 1st if not the 2nd set of bulbs. After the 12 month warranty, if you’re lucky. The bulbs are very shortlived. When I opened this set, not needed yet, but the older ones are already over a month old so I figure they will be soon, my heart sank. The metal contacts on the ends are cheap looking, almost a hollow tube and actually appeared bent. I wasn’t sure if they’d been used or damaged during production.I was wrong! These slipped right into the zapper and started right up. It’s only been around a day, but I’m beyond the return already so I might as well review, and can come back if they fail early. So far, they work well. Price was reasonable. I’ve bought replacements before so you should always shop around, but these were reasonable.

These bulbs are a perfect fit
The bulbs that came with my bug zapper did not last very long. It came with spares, but within 6 months three out of the four bulbs that came with it were burned out. This set from BuggyBands was a perfect fit as a replacement, and installed without a problem. I used both new bulbs and kept the one functioning old one in reserve. They put out a similar light (kind of purple) and they seem to be working, as I still hear it zapping the occasional insect. I will have to wait to see if they last longer than the bulbs that came with the machine, but at this price, they are a good replacement.

Good replacement for fluorescent zapper tubes.
A lot of bug zappers seem to be moving to LED bulbs. I love LEDs, but public opinion sez they come up short for bug zapping. Keep your old FL zapper going with these. Mine is an Aspectek and it works quite well with FL bulbs.I see this seller also offers a black light/visible light combo pack. I’m intrigued… You mean I can zap bugs AND light up my vintage fuzzy Hendrix poster? Seriously though, the seller implies black light attracts mosquitos. Will have to research. Wish listed. I’d welcome all the other bugs if I could fry more mosquitos. I’d set dinner out for them every night if I didn’t have to douse myself with DEET every time I leave the house during the Summer to avoid being eaten alive. These bulbs seem to work great so far. It seems like we’re told they should be replaced every year whether they need it or not and I’m inclined to go along with this as long as they’re affordable. Fancy zappers with oddball proprietary bulbs start to become a shopping nuisance after a year or two. These bulbs are pretty common. I like it.

Bug zapper replacement bulbs
I took a chance on these because I threw away the box my bug zapper came in. I figured since these ere the same length they’d fit and sure enough they did, I was so happy! You just twist them into place it’s super easy to replace them. The price is great for whenever I do need another set of bulbs. They work great and are just as bright as the originals.

Working bulbs
Got this for replacing burnt out bulb in bug zapper. Easy to replace, plugged in and works. A bit brighter than original remaining bulb, and same functionality. Good value.

Perfect Replacement Bulbs – Easy Install and Great Performance
I bought these replacement bulbs for my bug zapper and they worked exactly as expected. The fit was perfect for my Aspectek model, and they snapped into place with no issues. Just make sure to double-check your original bulb size and type before ordering. The light is strong and consistent, and within a day or two, I could already see a noticeable difference in how effective the zapper was. The 365nm UV light definitely attracts more flying insects than the worn-out bulb I had before. I also like that the light spreads evenly in all directions, which seems to help cover more area.Installation was simple. I followed the safety steps—unplugged the unit and released any leftover charge—and the whole process took under five minutes. The build quality feels solid and the pins are nice and secure. If you’re looking for reliable replacement bulbs that bring your bug zapper back to life, these are a great choice. The value is good, they perform well, and customer service is available in case anything arrives damaged. I’ll be buying another set when it’s time to replace them again.

Great bulbs
To explain the number:BL = Black LightF = type of lighting = FluorescentT8 = Shape = Tube 1″ DIAMETER”10w” IS THE TRUE WATTAGE OF THIS BULB. THE HEADING ALSO SAYS 20W WHICH IS AN ERROROK. I finally rescued my old bug zapper off the garage shelf where I put it when the bulbs went out and my daughter thought it was cruel to explode bugs while she was eating. My daughters gone off to school and summers coming up so I need to destroy disease baring flies. THESE ARE 10W bulbs which is all you need and lessens blue light glow. BAM. My fixture doesn’t zap flies, it explodes them. Great lights, needed both of ’em, set for summer.
