Extremely sturdy, I use them for cat litter
I’m very happy with these bags. I use them to bag my compostable pine cat litter because I didn’t want to use so much disposable plastic. They are very sturdy and big enough to wrap around about half the litterbox, which makes it easy to dump out the litter in one go. I’ve never had one accidentally tear on me while I was dumping the litter, which is really important to me.

    The Rolls-Royce of compost bags!
Why did it take me so long to find this product! I love the tie to close the bag, the DARK green instead of the aweful light green every other vendor uses. The bag fits the counter compost metal containers exactly. And MOST importantly, the bag is actually strong. Every other bag of this size I have bought tears even as one is trying to open the bag. I actually tried to push my finger through the material and was not successful. This is a great find.

Great bags! Probably the best of compostable bags.
This is probably the best compostable bag I’ve ever used. Unlike other compostable bags I’ve tried, this one doesn’t fall apart the second it gets wet. It actually holds up pretty well, which is a big deal when you’re dealing with compost, where things can get a little messy. I’ve had bags in the past that just disintegrate as soon as moisture hits them, so it’s nice to find one that doesn’t have that problem. That being said, it’s not completely waterproof. If you’re putting wet compost in it, you will see some liquids seep through, so it’s not the best option for anything that’s too soggy. However, the bag itself doesn’t break down or fall apart, which is what really sets it apart from the competition. It’s still going to do its job without falling apart the moment you remove it from your compost bin.So, while it’s not perfect, this bag is definitely worth getting. If you’re looking for a compostable option that actually holds up and doesn’t disintegrate at the first sign of moisture, this is your best bet. It’s durable enough for everyday composting tasks, and that alone makes it a solid choice.

    Would recommend
I like having guilt-free bags. I will say they rip a teensy bit when I stretch them over the top of the bin though. However they don’t leak or rip open. I don’t overstuff them or put heavy things in them though.

    Not flimsy like other liners
Bags are very sturdy and close easily

    Strong and easy to use.
Excellent bag for small kitchen trash can. Also use it for small amounts of garden waste. Strong, does not tear, and easy to tie shut. Sharp ends can puncture it.

  7. lube

    Durable
This bags are great. They are very durable and 6 gallon can fit quite a lot.

    Manufacturing problem this year
Bought this product two years in a row. Very satisfied, though sometimes the bags tore upon unfolding. Tried to buy again this year. Only the 30 count box of 13-gallon size was available–had to buy two to get at least 50. Now two months later, the 50 count box is available again. Not pleased about that. Manufacturing problem with the 30 count bags. They don’t unfold properly, as the corner tabs of each of the two sets of corners are sealed together at the top, sealed together also are the tops of the two unfolded halves of each corner tab. All have to be separated with scissors. Wanted to contact the manufacturer rather than Amazon. No contact info on the box, and no info from Amazon (just the usual AI bots that can’t answer anything. I don’t expect this review to be published, but hopefully a human with some agency will read it.

They are great for their intended purpose. They are only meant to hold shredded paper or compostable food products. Therefore, they are not very durable or sturdy but I don’t believe compost bags are intended to be that. We purchased them as our city now want all shredded paper put in compost bags. We found the ones that you can buy from local stores and Costco too small for this purpose. I am very happy with the product I received.

  10. SMW

Much better than the bags provided by the authority which split and are quite small.

I bought these because our city does not allow plastic bin liners (even compostable ones) and this one said in big words ” I am not plastic ” as it says its a 100% plant-based bag and because it had that in big words I figured awesome, the city will know easy that it’s not plastic. But they arrived today and the printing has definitely changed, the bag now just has everything below the ” I am not plastic” but not that part. It also at the bottom has a warning about leaving this plastic bag with kids. So now I am wondering if they changed the formula from 100% plant to containing some compostable plastic?Unsure but have asked for a return as I can’t use compostable plastics 🙁 really thought these were going to be the answer to a non compostable plastic bin liner.Other than that issue I didn’t actually use the product, but it felt nice and strong, and had no odor I could sense.

These are really strong and an absolute pleasure to use in our kitchen bins. Everything is mostly composted or recycled so no very heavy refuse going in.No leaks or tears – just have to be gently pulling them over the edges of the bin. Most importantly, no microplastics and hoping they totally biodegrade and no nasties killing off our wildlife etc. Yay!I rarely leave reviews, but had to as they are so fab. After being left saddened with the large plastic (Brabantia) or pretend eco versions (Ecozone) bin bags, I was delighted to find these and this size works just fine and having been taking them out every 2-3 days.

We have been looking for a compostable-bag that was the right size for our built-in receptable in our kitchen. The lined paper bags we had were either too small or way too big. This size was the perfect fit.In general, they have been pretty durable. However, one does have to be careful if the contents are heavy or if they are particularly wet. In these circumstances, we have had to resort to double bagging to prevent having it all over the floor when putting it out.
